Knowing that summer is almost over, I want to take advantage of the little bit of nice weather we have left. I promised Micah that if he was a good boy this morning that we would go and play at the park in the afternoon. He had a great morning so after Tim was home for lunch, we ventured out to play. It was absolutely gorgeous out when we first got there. I brought a blanket for Addie and I to relax on and Micah started his exploration of the perimeter of the playground. I had fun just watching him play and playing with Addie here and there. They are both getting big so fast- it is fun but yet sad- I miss my little babies!
Anyway...Micah went down the big slides all by himself and ran over each time to tell me about it- how cute is that? He also wanted to go in the swing- since Addie was sound asleep by that time- I went and gave him a few pushes. It must not have been as fun as he thought it would be- it only lasted maybe two minutes at the most. After the swings we were on to the teeter-totter- which he absolutely loved! When he was finished with that he started his exploring again so I went to sit again with Addie. She started geting a bit restless- so my attention was all on her when I heard a thump and a scream. Micah had fallen from this metal Bulldozer toy and bonked his head on the wheel thing. My heart stopped for a second- all I could envision was a stream of blood pouring from his head. Thank goodness that wasn't the case- just a wee bump and the tears were over in a few minutes. He was actually ready to go and play again but I thought it best to go in so I could make sure he was really okay before nap time. I am happy to say that he has been acting fine the rest of today and I don't think it was as bad as I had first thought.
