He Did It!

So this is the week for potty-training Micah as noted in an earlier post. He did great Monday- only a few accidents and Tuesday we were running errands so we went back to a diaper. Yesterday he was almost perfect- just a few dribbles that snuck out- but otherwise 100% peeing in the potty (cept nap time). The problem with this picture? He never went #2. He had to go last nite- he told me- but he was stubborn. He sat on the toilet numerous times but to no avail. I finally relented at bedtime and put on a diaper- only expecting him to instantly releive himself. I checked him right before I went to sleep- still nothing. I figured it was bound to happen by morning when he woke up before getting out of bed.
Again, there was nothing there and an almost dry diaper. I took it off again as in other days and started him on the potty right away. He was doing great peeing but he started again with having to go #2. He brought me numerous diapers and kept telling me to put them on so he could go. I refused- knowing that if nothing else, he would go in his diaper at nap time.
fast forward to about 12pm, he still has to go. I kept thinking of different bribes- none of which were catching his interest. He finally sits on his little potty (we only have one bathroom so we keep a little one down here for the time being) and he dribbles out a bit. He says "Mommy Poop on Big Potty". We head upstairs- me thinking how pointless this is going to be and him grabbing a magazine to look at for the duration (what a little man). Anyway...I help him onto the potty and proceed to go to my room to read a magazine so that he has some privacy. About two mins. later I hear a flush and I jump up to see if I can see anything in there. Lo and Behold- there was a huge turd in there :) He had finally went!! We danced and sang and I gave him a Dora Computer game we had been saving back for a prize. He is still currently out there playing it :) Now for the rest of the week and weeks after. I hope this is a sign and that we won't backtrack from here. He is a big boy- knows when he has to go but sometimes that stubborness just won't easily release.
In other news...I am just going to post one of those get to know you Blog Things since I have nothing else going on. Enjoy!

My Childhood

4) My Best Friend: In elementary school- Jenny Langtry when I lived in Eastlake and Tracy Ross when I moved to Leroy. Middle School: hmm prob. Carly Gruszecki High School: Lindsay, Katie, Sarah, Gillian...the whole group of us were always together.
5) My first crush: I don't rmember in all honesty- but my first kiss with a boy was when I was just 3 or 4- I was a flowergirl in a wedding and when they said, "You may now kiss the bride" the little ring bearer and I kissed.
6) What I used to think I would name my kids: Abby at one point- but since I know have a SIL named Abbey that wouldn't work. I also always liked Bailey- but doesn't work with out last name.

13) My favorite Song: I loved New Kids on the Block for a long time. My tastes were always changing though.
14) How many houses I lived in: 2

17) My favorite outfit from childhood: I don't think I have one. My favorite Halloween costume though would be Strawberry Shortcake

20) My greatest acheivements: as a kid? Ummm...honor rolls, sports awards...Later on I am still proud that I was more outgoing and went out for Field Commander in my senior year. I know that is sorta dorky- but just everyone doesn't get to do that :)
