Sorry for taking a few days break ;) My mom was here to help out with the kids on Friday while we had a 5th quarter party with the youth. Saturday we spent the whole day together and she actually ended up staying until Sunday morning. It was a nice visit and I am glad she was able to come and spend time with us. I know Micah loved having her here :)
In other news...I passes my kidney stone on Friday morning. Woo Hoo!! It hurt but I feel so much better that it is out now. I hope I don't have to suffer with this again- they sure aren't very much fun!
It is finally starting to feel like fall around here- and it is actually supposed to stay that way for most of this week :) I am so happy about that- I LOVE fall! I can't wait to get out and take some pictures- the colors are just so vibrant this time of year. I can't imagine living in an area where there aren't different seasons- I need this change. I think I will pull out some fall decorations tomorrow and start decorating the house.
Church was wonderful yesterday- Carl Kandel was a guest preacher and wow- does he have the gift. It was so refreshing and that really makes me sad that I don't feel this way every Sunday. Our church could be so great- there is so much possibility- but no one wants to take charge and really search out God's will for our congregation. I could go on forever...but I won't. It doesn't make anything better by venting- but I do pray that things improve and that people's hearts become on fire for the Lord again. I am so thankful for our Sunday School class- we have a great group of people and I truely believe that we all want to grow deeper in our faith and really grow to know and understand what we as a church and we as a people believe. I would love to even grow deeper and have an individual study outside of Sunday mornings like a few of us used to do, but people are always so busy anymore. Maybe it will happen again someday.
One of my dear friends has been on my heart recently and I pray she is doing well. I have tried to get in contact with her a few times recently with no luck. I think I might shoot off another email tonite in hopes that this time I will get a response. All I can do right now is keep her in my prayers and hope that things are just crazy busy for her.
This week is going to have some great days :) I am meeting a new friend from N. Canton on Thursday- I can not wait! She just moved here from California and has two girls right around Micah and Addie's ages. We still have to work out final details but no matter how it works out, I am excited to have this oppurtunity.
Saturday is Tyler's (my nephews) 2nd birthday. We didn't get to see him much during his first two years since they were in Iceland so it is neat that they are closer now. Unfortunately, since we didn't hear final details about his party until today, I am not sure we can make it. My heart is heavy about this b/c I would love to be there but I am not sure if it will work out. We do however have a fun gift for the birthday boy that Mr. Micah picked out himself :)
I am off to try to finish a scrapbook project since Addie is sleeping and Tim is playing with Micah. We will see how long that will actually allow me to work ;)
I promise to keep more up to date- though Miss Lindsay needs to update hers as well :)
