On Monday morning Addie had her five month check up with Dr. Tabb. Her growth is starting to slow down, and although most of you will think she is just huge- she is so much smaller than Micah at this age :) She officially weighs in at 17 lbs and 5 ozs- but get this- she is 26 3/4 inches long! Oh my- I am not sure where she is getting this length gene from- but my girl is L-O-N-G! Unfortunately she has a bit of a virus and was put on some Amox. and also got a shot. She actually didn't even shed a tear for the shot- nothing at all and was smiling away within seconds. What a tough girl!! Her euphoria from the shot didn't last long though- about four hours after her shot her demeanor suddenly changed and for the next 48 hours we had quite a fussy little baby. I really had no idea what to do with her- she was so unhappy...she didn't want to eat, didn't want to play or sleep or be held. We managed thankfully (with a bit of tylenol here and there) and today has been much better.
After the appt. Monday, the kids and I went out with Grandma and Grandpa and Abbey and the kids for one last hurrah until Christmas. We went and ate at Chic-Fil-A (witnessed an accident while leaving) and then went shopping at Once Upon a Child. We were going to hit the Village Store but ran out of time. :(
I had to hury and get home because I had my first official photography shoot scheduled for 6pm with the guys from the band. Things went pretty well- it is hard taking indoor night shots when I mainly use natural lighting but I think we got some things we can work with. I am getting together with them again this coming Saturday to do some on location shoots outdoors- those should turn out great :)
Nothing real exciting happened the other days of this week- I have had to catch up on tons of household chores, go grocery shopping, tend to a sick baby, etc...We haven't even gotten a chance to start getting Christmas things down yet- I am so sad that I am so busy right now. I do plan on getting every set up before the week is over- even if it means more late late nites.
Tomorrow (well today now actually) I have another photography session- this time of my friend's nine month old :) I am really looking forward to this session- I am sure he will be a lot of fun and I have no doubt that I will get some good shots out of it. I am going to try out some new things- so hopfully everything goes smoothly for me.
So that is my last week in a nutshell. I am sure I left out a ton but I am sure you are already rolling your eyes at all my blabbering. I am just so full of excitement right now about all the things happening in certain areas of my life right now and am really looking forward to all the oppurtunites that God is placing in my path.
