I think it was Christmas Day- but Christmas Eve for the Tim's family Christmas :) I will now begin with Monday, Christmas Day with our other family.
We went over around 10 am and got settled in to hear the reading of the Christmas story by Dad B. This is a tradition- and one that is so meaningful- really helps us remember what we are truly celebrating before we tear into the gifts. Following the reading, Tim and I played the Andrew Peterson song I mentioned earlier in my blog, and then Gabe shared a touching prayer (wow- he sure can pray for a 5 year old!).
Following prayer- it was present time. Tim's family has this way of doing things...we always opened gifts one at a time- youngest to oldest. Well that was just thrown out the door when you have a room of 8 kids- lol! The kids tore into their gifts and enjoyed opening up the treasures here and there. They all raked in a TON of gifts- Micah received mostly train things and a father/son Bible and Addie received clothes, Mother Daughter Bible and a few toys. Harper had a little makeup kit that she shared with paola- just had to share a pic of Harper's beautiful application of makeup. Think she will be a makeup artist some day ;)?
Following the kid's gift opening, they went in to watch some movies and us adults proceeded with the normal youngest to oldest rotation. I sure do love being the youngest ;) Everyone once again received wonderful items...A few of my select things were some new stamps and stamp pad, the entire Willow Tree Nativity set, huge sweatshirt Lakeside Blanker (ohhh- I LOVE this) a few shirts, some kitchen things and some other household items. Tim received a giftcard to Best Buy, some clothes, and Ohio state chair and blanket, and some other things that are escaping my mind. We presented everyone with their digital calendars that I created and Tim's little blast from the past project :) It was a great time. Addie pooped out in the middle of it- and not long after- the rest of the kids were herded to bed as well.
The rest of the week was spent going back and forth to and from Mom and Dad B's and just enjoying time with family. Monday nite, our nephew Gabe spent the nite here- he and Micah had a wonderful time. Tuesday nite I had a girl's overnighter at our church where I thought maybe five girls would show up. HA- there were 23 girls! Oh my! We had a great time elfing people and watching many chick flicks. (How to Loose and Guy in 10 days, Fifty First Dates, and The Notebook). I slept maybe 2 1/2 hours- so fun! LOL. It went really smooth- all except that sickness incident- but thank goodness for Linda- I am not sure what I would have done without her. BLECH!
Everyone from the family left on Thursday and we are back to real life. It was a wonderful Christmas season and although glad to have some normalcy back in our lives, I already miss seeing everyone. Here are a few more random pictures from the week- hope you enjoy.

Oh my gosh, you caught some wonderful pictures of all the kids. I think the one of all of them sleeping in the bed made my heart burst.
