Why is that you ask? (well maybe all of you aren't asking- but to those that are...) Well, I just got an email from my "BFF" (best friend forever ;) ) from elementary school and it was just SO great to hear a bit about her and what she has been doing since graduation. We were practically inseperable from 3rd through 6th grade but at that time, she unfortunately moved away and with that came our eventual loss of communication. Throughout our high school years we ran into one another here and there due to a mutual friend, but unfortunately, nothing was ever the same. I never really knew what came of her except for a few snippets here and there that my Mom would hear and pass on- so it was great to finally piece things together. I just smiled as I read about her meeting her eventual husband, the birth of her first and second child and her involvement in her church. The last part I guess is what really made me smile- see, she and her family are the ones that more or less led us to the church that became my church home. Prior to meeting her, I had only been in church a handful of times and those were while visiting relatives on holidays. It was just great to read of the excitement as she shared all that her and her family are involved in at their church home.
We probably all have friends you wonder, "What ever happened to them" and it was just great to finally know what happened to this one and find out that things turned out really well. I hope we can continue to keep in contact and maybe even eventually meet up with one another someday. I love these little suprises in life :)
Today was another day of cleaning an organizing here in our household. I am happy to say that I reoraganized some of the kids toys and was able to make a bit more room in their play area. I think I want to purchase a few new storage items that would better accomadate some of their larger items and look a bit sleeker than our current storage- but all in all, I am quite happy. Micah has even continually commented on how "really nice" it looks as he has played this evening :) Nothing like a little validation for my ego ;)
Tomorrow should be pretty mellow again- I think I will tackle the kitchen and dining room- oh so fun. I have promised Micah to make cookies- so tomorrow may be the day. I have tried to make Jello Eggs two times this week- but somehow I just fail miserably. I guess I am Jello Egg Impaired ;) (Oh and a little word of caution from the people at Kraft foods "Do Not Try to Swallow Jello Eggs Whole ;) Sorry- had to share that little funny tidbit)
Tomorrow evening is the last revival service- kinda sad in a sense. See, our church isn't exactly the most vibrant place to be in the last oh...well- number aren't really needed. Lets just say it has been awhile. Everyone seems to have lost their passion and desire and frankly, it is quite depressing. These revival services have been needed food for my soul- I am glad that I have been in attendance this past week. Tomorrow I have nursery duty so although I will be there, I won't be and that makes me sorta sad. I know there are a lot of things I need to work on in my life, and a lot of things that I just need to let go and give to God. My eyes have been opened this week and I just hope that this spirit will stay alive after our speaker is gone. I know I need to do my part, but it is hard when the spiritual food isn't always readily available. Anyways...
When we came home this evening we sat down and watched AI which we recorded while away. It started off kind off rough this evening but I think the judges were being just a tad too harsh on some of the contestants, and Paula- dang- she just ANNOYS me to NO end! Could she have any more dumb cliches? Honestly!! Ok- moving on...I really enjoyed Mandisa's preformance and did NOT think it was overly indulgent. Same with Chris- ahhh- I would love to see him take it all. Along with those two- I really enjoyed Paris this evening. On the negative- I think Bucky, Lisa and Kelly need to be in the bottom with Bucky leaving. Only tomorrow will tell ;)
I am off to peruse my new Taste of Home magazine and find another Yummy recipe for tomorrow. Tonite I made Montererry Jack Garlic Chicken. YUM YUM YUM!! (But you should ask Tim how it really tasted since he had a LOT more than I) I love when new recipes turn out better than expected and I get Rave reviews!!

Sounds like you have been busy! I know what you mean about Paula. And do you notice how even if she says something a little negative no one ever boos her? I think they have things up for Simon and Randy for the audience to boo them. What makes Paula so special?
