what a great week we have all been having this past week. my parents came down to visit on their "vacation" and the kids are just having a blast. my dad had work to do at home so he only stayed one night, but my mom is here until saturday and we have been having a lot of fun.
while Papa was still here, the kids went swimming and had a blast trying to soak Grandma and Papa. ;) (i surely didn't initiate that ;) ) It was so funny watching Micah try to get them both- and he did- quite well :) (thats my boy!)
that nite we went down to Sugarcreek (little Switzerland of Ohio) and had some wonderful Dutch cooking at the Dutch Kitchen. yum!
today we went out shopping during the afternoon. the kids were both great- Grandma and I really wore them out (Addie was too tired to eat and that just doesn't happen). After coming home, we relaxed a bit and then heard the familar jingle of the ice cream truck coming down the road :) my Mom hadn't heard one of those since Matt and I were little, so she insisted that she buy both kids ice cream- they surely didn't complain. Micah was covered by the end- but ended with with a nice cooling bath to clean up.
i had a lovely education meeting tonite- lol. actually we got quite a few things planned for the block party- i think it can actually happen and be succesful. i am in charge of buying all the fun prizes- woo hoo! :) i am like a kid in the candy store.
i have still been working on more business things in the evenings- i have a shoot this friday! I can't wait- it is going to be a gorgeous park in Mass. Ohio- should be fun!
there are just so many things to think about- it is mind boggling. i think i have a basic price scheme worked up and hoping my test prints are available from my lab on friday. i am hoping that they turned out ok- i really don't want to have to figure out how to calibrate my monitor. anyway- i am still trucking along and have two new people that have expressed interest in a session. it really is happening- and i am sooo excited!!
it is late again, gosh- i am such a nite owl. we watched another movie tonite, "lost in translation" it was good- kinda hard to follow at times, but good none-the-less. i love the creative way it was filmed- sort of dreamy but yet edgey. the other nite we watched "war of the worlds" kinda a similar edgey- urbanish feel to it. i love artsy films like that.
here are a few pics from the past few days. though i don't have a pic. of micah covered in the ice cream- he was ;) thankfully i thought to remove his shirt before he began eating- it would have been rainbow colored.
