Happy Birthday America

Though we didn't have an extravagent gathering or a typical "Fourth" meal, we still ended up having a pretty good day. After our dinner of Spaghetti and Garlic Bread, we headed outside for an evening walk around town. The kids had their little Fourth outfits on so I grabbed the camera in hopes of getting a few good pictures. Addie has this adorable jean hat that went just perfectly with her outfit- but she and I had different ideas of where the hat was actually supposed to be worn. She thought that the road would look better wearing it than she ;)
Our walk was cut short due to blood sucking insects (BLECH!!!) and we hopped in the car to try and see some firecrackers for Micah. We sang Happy Birthday to America (that is quite a big word to spit out) and searched high and low for colors in the sky.We did get to see a few random ones which Micah absolutely LOVED and he was quite sad that there weren't any others to view. He kept telling us that we needed to keep searching for them- poor guy!! It was a great evening to drive around- Addie took a wonderful nap and Tim and I just relaxed listening to "Explosions in the Sky" (ok- I didn't really enjoy the first few songs...) while taking in the sights.
Here are a few pictures from our outing. I know the one of Micah isn't that great but I had to show a) he is still around and b) that I love him just as much as Addie; he just won't look at the camera for more than a hundreth of a second. I have other cute ones of them in the wagon and Micah pulling her, but I haven't resized those yet so if I upload them- it won't be until tomorrow sometime.
