It's Been a Long Time Friends

and I apologize. Life totally gets in the way sometimes and that is precisely what has been going on- Life. From playing with the kids to golfing, editing and website design. Throw in a block party, normal errands, cleaning, and a proofing session, there isn't much time for anything else.

Last time I wrote, I mentioned I was going golfing the next day- which has past already-soooo that means I went and survived ;) We went to a course in Canton called, Meadowlake which is a shorter and narrow course. We played the front 9 holes (not a full 18 to save time and to ease me in ;) ). Tim lightened the mood by starting us off on a ummm- more even field (you have to ask Tim about this) ;) I then take my turn up at the women's tees and see this guy out of the corner of my eye (he was on the last hole which runs parallel and stopped to watch). I jokingly told Tim to be ready to yell "fore"just in case- he laughed and told me I would do fine. Well...I did do fine getting a nice solid hit- but it happened to be directly at the man standing under the tree watching me. "Fore" was yelled and the guy was spared- but nothing like some excitement to start off the game. Yikes!! The first four holes weren't the best- I had a 40 combined on those (Two tens right off the bat) BUT the back five- a whopping 17!!! (including a par and 2 bogies!!!!!) Not too bad for my first time out :) I never lost a ball and can hit a mean driver. I honestly think it will be fun to go out again- in fact, I am pretty sure we are going out next week :)

Sunday was our church block party- the day was forecast for rain and indeed it did- about an hour after we set up outside under clear skies. We thankfully had time to regroup and the first two hours went off without a hitch- then the sky let loose again. Everything sort of fizzled and it was called a night about a half hour early. I am anxious to hear how many people attended and if we pulled in some of our surrounding community. We had so much to do- a HUGE blow up football thing, cotton candy machine, snow cones, popcorn, TONS of games, three bands, a magician, clown and balloon artist- definitely something for everyone! I had fun helping in the planning and though it was a LOT of work to pull off, hopefully some new people came into contact with our church and maybe a seed was planted that will someday blossom.

I finished up my website this weekend and though it is live, I have a few more touches to put on before I release it to the general public. I am so excited to share- and really proud of all the work I have put into it.
I had a senior proofing session this morning and they were so excited about the pictures- really helped boost my confidence :) I have another session to finish proofing and get online this week and then a bit of a break until my session next week. Phew- I have photography coming out my ears.

Tomorrow nite is the parent meeting for Micah's preschool- it is soooo close to starting now- YIKES!! My baby is going to school. He is so excited about it though- when we got in the car today to run errands, he wanted his backpack packed with books and was so sure we were taking him to school. Cute lil man ;) He is so ready to learn and be a "big boy" it is amazing how much they grow in such a short time.

We had lunch at the Cheescake Factory today- while their desserts are amazing ( I still have half of mine to go) their food and service was less than impressive. Oh well- such is life. At least I still have a bit of cheesecake left to indulge. It is definitely what the doctor ordered.

Tomorrow should be a quiet day- laundry and editing. It will be great :) I am exhausted from staying up too late too many nites in a row, so although I can semi sleep in tomorrow, I think I am off to bed early. Hopefully I can get my last picture uploaded tomorrow and I can share my site with you all shortly after. I am as excited as ever for you all to see it :) Until then, sleep tight and goodnite.
