Gosh, I still have sooo soo much I want to share but I am just plain tuckered out. Today we spent most of the day at the Street Retreat on Lake Mohawk. It was a great day- well except for the hour I was stranded on an out-of-gas jet ski in the middle of a busy lake- but eh- the ride to and fro was fun ;) Micah had a blast on the boat, as did Addie (they both fell asleep :) ) and the 28 teens we took all came back in one piece :)
Tim and I were able to watch a few old videos last nite and WOW how we have changed in six years. Dang- I wish I were the same body size and shape as I was back then- if only ;) I guess kids do that to you. Darn children ;)
I have been looking through my 800+ pictures from the past week and pulled off a few of the sunset from Friday, August 11 to share with you all. It was a cool and windy day- so much that they closed off the dock area and the waves were splashing way up over the rocks. I have seen rough waters on Lake Erie- but never anything like that day. The sky was a beautiful bright blue all day long and we made sure to arrive early for the sunset. With 20 mins to go, I started to shoot as the sun sat right above the low-laying cloud line. It was amazing to watch the sun and it moved under and through the cloud line and view the awesome colors that flashed across the sky. I tried to grab a nice sampling of pictures here for you to view, but of course pictures can do no justice to being there in person. I promise to share a ton of other pictures but I first have to get back into some routine here at home before I can commit much time to figuring out what is what on my cards :) Until then, I hope these pictures convey the God's awesome beauty that we were able to experience.
