I did indeed make it

into the New Year- though it is already flying by so fast that I fear it will be over while I sleep tonite.
Our house has been filled with sickness...again. As I posted in an earlier post, Micah went to the Dr. the week before Christmas and then Addie had a presciption called in for her two days before. Well- the week after Christmas brought us back to the Dr. again- for Addie none-the-less. She was/is still quite congested- though thankfully not in her lungs. Her Dr. changed up her antibiotic and gave her a stronger decongestant to hopefully clear things up. She has had a fever off and on a few days since then- and had a few episodes that really scared me- her coughing got so bad she struggled to breathe- but thankfully I believe that we are beyond the worst of it. Micah seemed to catch everything Addie had- 24 hours later- fever, cough and all. Yeah- great holiday time around here- anyone care to join us in the quarantine room?

Beyond the sickness- we did have a nice Christmas. The kids were beyond excited. They both slept in until 9:30- when we had to wake them to come see what Santa brought. The were in total awe- and Addie knew right what to do- and didn't care if the gift had her name or anyone elses- if there was paper to rip- she was there. From gift to gift- her and Micah squealed with delight- until Ms. Addie found the remnants of Rudolph's apple from the nite before and decided it was more important for her to eat that than discover anymore treasures. She did finally decide she could spare one hand for opening gifts while still making sure to eat all of the juicy goodness of her apple. If I had only known...apples are quite a bit cheaper than toys ;)
I am not really sure what toys are their absolute favorites...Micah definitely loves his FP3 player, Hullabaloo, his new V-tech games, remote control car and his keyboard from Christmas morning (added to his favorite from my parents house...his digital camera).
Addie...well- she goes from toy-to-toy. She has played with her plastic food for her kitchen, all of her new Little People toys (Noah's Ark, Dollhouse, and the Nativity), her new Cabbage Patch, her "barf barf" (a dog that barks- which she can't say- thus "barf"), and her vacum cleaner. She also received the V-Smile baby system- which we haven't had much time to try out thus far. Both kids were definitely spoiled and now we need a place for all their new treasures.
Tim and I also received many nice things this year, from clothes, to OSU jerseys, new kitchen stuff, a family Bible, books, Wii system (ok we had it a bit early but hey- we needed to make sure it was going to work ;) ) video games, movies, and gift cards, someone must have thought we were good this year ;)

Although it was great to receive, Christmas was so much more special this year since both kids were so into it and Micah really grasping the true meaning of Christmas. I hope to keep this alive in him all year long and just really watch his love of Jesus grow each and every day.

I have so much more to write- but also know that I have so much to do around here. I hope to blog again tomorrow- either with sharing more pictures or my goals for the new year. Tonite I must finish up to client orders and get back to organizing things around here- that can only happen when the kids are in bed...

Hope that you all had a great Christmas and your New Year started off great as well.

Glad to see you survived the Holidays!!! Ours were quite mellow this year...it was nice! If you haven't checked my blog...Taylor has had the exact same thing as Addie. We had to take her in the morning after Christmas because of the severe coughing..she got some good drugs and is doing much better now!
Glad to hear from you...hope we can get together soon!!
    Happy New Year!!!
