As promised

I am going to give an update about the kiddos ;) I will start with Addie- only b/c there is so much to write and I don't want to forget anything before I write it.

Addie, my complete opposite from Micah is quite the ornery little princess around here. She knows that she can start her pitiful cry or her little, "I crying" and our hearts break and we feel bad. Yes- she says, "I crying" when she is crying- as if we didn't know ;) That is only one of her little things though... She is quite the chatterbox- putting four words together and a vocabulary to rival that of any two year old. Just tonite as we were praying she actually started it herself saying, "Dear Jesus, thank you food" and then at the end said, "Love you Jesus- Amen" It was soooo sweet. Just before that she actually said, "I love you too" in response to me saying "I love you". Yes- doesn't sound like a big deal- but it was a whole sentence- not just "love you"
She can count 1 to 5 and then skips to 8, 9 and 10. She knows some of her alphabet- mainly the middle- lol. One of her absolute favorite activities is singing- from Jesus Loves me and Jesus love Little Addie (and Micah) to Itsy Bitsy Spider (Pider)
and If You're happy and You Know it. She sings along with most of these- esp. Itsy Bitsy Spider. It is so cute to hear her little voice sing along with me :)
She loves to play with her dolls (feeding and dressing them), Play Dough and Little People. Her most recent favorite thing is to put on Micah's clothes- whether they be pull-ups or his underwear- she often has something of his on (yes- they are new and or clean ;) ) She is such a joy to have around- she makes the most hilarious faces and has the sweetest (albeit ornery ) personality and definitely knows how to charm the heck out of anyone.

Here are two pics from this week...one of her with Micah's pullups on as her pants and then one of her funny faces that I see all of the time but just can never seem to capture :)

Micah...what can I say? He is an amazingly smart almost 4 year old. He is always asking how to spell things to he can write them, knows how to read a lot of basic things (though I think it is more memorization...), loves to take pictures (is a man after my own heart), is an amazing and I mean amazing artist and can sing the heck out of stuff if he wants. His most favorite activity is drawing though playing the computer is a close second. he can spend hours drawing pictures and amazingly- they look like what he is telling me they are. I will have to scan one in sometime.
Although he has a trying personality at times- he has a sweet heart. In fact, the other nite- he looked at me and said, "I am glad you are here Mommy" He will often say things out of the blue that just melt my heart. He often tells me he loves me and that he is thankful I do such and such a thing- really makes me smile.

He is doing amazing in school- so glad he is able to enjoy it this year. He really seems to love going and is always talking about their projects and what he learned in chapel. We are going to three days a week next year- and if I would have known how much he loved it- would have done that this year as well.
Micah is starting to do better at swimming- he is still afraid to jump in on his own- but is much better in the water than he was just a few months ago. I hope he gets over the little bit of fear left in him and can just learn to love for the sake of loving it. He really wants to play soccer- so we will probably look into that for him whenever it starts- he love to kick the ball all around the house so it would be great if he had a better outlet for that energy ;)

Micah also loves to change clothes all of the time...the boy is crazy ;) His new love is these ugly red sweatpants, two tee-shirts of his choosing, and shoes...wanna know why? B/C that is his teacher outfit. LOL. I tried to get a picture today- but he was being silly so...I dont think there is anything that will work BUT- if you can imagine a totally hideous outfit that he won't take off...that is what he is wearing (even now in bed)

Here is a pic of him today- but not the full "teacher" outfit.

So...that is the kids in a nutshell :) I love them to death and though there are trying times- they just melt my heart and I wouldn't trade the world for either of them.
I am supposed to be watching a movie right now (well I am...but just not with full attention) so I should probably do that and end by incessant blabbering here. I hope you all enjoyed the updates and I will try to get some of Micah's artwork scanned in for you all to see.
