I guess I should write

now that I have spent most of the week sharing pictures ;)

This week was grey, chilly and rainy. Blech- totally a downer. I hate how mother nature teases us with a warm day and then drowns us in this! Unfortunately, that weather meant that we had to stay inside most of the week- which could literally drive me insane soon!! I think we are all ready for some fresh air.

Micah had a great week at school (at least as far as I know ;) ) and Addie and I had a little shopping trip one morning while Micah was gone. She is finally growing a bit (well- at least her feet ;) ) and needed some new shoes. Can I stop and ask the shoe companies WHY they don't make very many tennis shoe options for toddler girls? ARGH!! We went to like 7- yes- 7! different stores before finding something (and thankfully at a great deal). Most stores only had sandals (apparently they aren't realizing that is IS NOT summer here!) and those that had tennis shoes either a) didn't carry a size five or b) only had them in character shoes that cost $18+ dollars (yes, even walmart and target were this way). I am sorry, I might be cheap BUT I will not pay that for shoes she might outgrow in a week or two. Thankfully, payless came through and she has some cute grey and pink shoes that we found for $8 :)

Other than the shopping fun, not much else to report. This was revival week at our church and that took up every evening through Wednesday. Well... took up my night except for Wednesday. I had to end up coming home b/c a um..."minor" detail such as childcare was not taken care of at church. Sorry to vent here- BUT- I was upset. I took a nite to care for other's kids and then there aren't people to take the other nites? The thing that really bothered me... when Tim came home, he told me that at least TWO other families (not from the church) came and left b/c no one was there to care for their infants. What type of picture are we painting of our church? If it weren't the first time... I might not be so upset- BUT- unfortunately it isn't.
I have no idea what would draw young people (meaning married, young families) to our church. There are no ministries for families such as ours. There is no child care during Bible study thus preventing this age group from attending, no small groups... I have been interested in things such as this- but honestly, I don't have the time or capability to be able to give my all to it at this time. I already give a lot of my free time to the youth and sometimes, when you serve in so many capacities, it is nice to just be able to sit back sometimes and allow yourself to be ministered to. Unfortunately...I don't see that happening. It can be so frustrating at times...and I really feel that no-one understands... Anyway... sorry for the vent :(

Tomorrow we have nursery duty at church and then Sunday School- which i am looking forward to :) We have started a new study and with my love of knowledge- it is right up my alley :) This week is supposed to be warm but rainy- so... I might really be going insane by Friday. Pray for at least once nice day...just one. LOL. I don't ask for much- do I?

On that note, I think I am off to sleep. Addie and I went out with Tim's Mom for dinner tonite while Tim and Micah went to a Father/Son banquet with his dad. I had a great sundae at Fridays and still feel stuffed from indulging. Hope you all had a good week and I wish you the best in the week to come.
