We have watched two Christmas movies so far this year... Elf a few nites ago and then tonite we had a family movie nite here and made some popcorn and watched Rudolph. The kids didn't budge from their spots and we all had a wonderful time. It is great to be able to share classics like that with your kids and make new traditions.
We had a nice Thanksgiving this year... a bit different without Dad Beck being around but all in all it was still a great time. The kids are getting old enough to play on their own and we actually played a few games... Snorta (which is quite funny I must say) and Apples to Apples. We all had a blast and there were quite a few laughs around the table as we played.
Micah had his cousin Harper come spend the nite last nite and they both did great. It was the first official sleepover for both of them- and they both made it all nite sleeping in Micah's room and there was little arguing from either of them throughout the duration (which is quite a feat for a 4 and 5 year old ;) ) We had all of Tim's family over for pizza and Wii games this afternoon and then headed to Tim's sister Joy's house for dinner tonite. It has been great not having to cook since Tuesday ;) I am surely spoiled now!! LOL. Too bad it will all end after Monday (when Tim's family will leave)
Tim's Mom joined Abbey and I on Black Friday though we slept in this year and didn't head out until 7 since there weren't any deals that really excited either of us. We still had fun and I was able to finish up two more people and get another something for someone else... always a fun time. As most of you know, I love shopping but I love shopping even more with other people ;)
The kids are ready for bed and actually went up on their own so I guess I should follow. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving as well :)
