for all of your kind thoughts and encouragement yesterday. I finally felt at peace with everything yesterday evening and I am just giving it up to God b/c honestly, there is nothing happening by my worrying.
First of all, I must say, I have never had a Dr. more caring and kind than the one I currently go to. It was a total God thing that he ended up being my Dr. after delivering Micah... I actually go to a practice of like 9 Drs. but since I ended up with a C-section, I no longer rotate through and instead only see my actual Dr. He is a great Christian man and I feel so comfortable with the medical advice he gives me. Anyway... he told me that most women end up with an abnormal test at least once in their lifetimes and being that this was my first, he wouldn't worry much about it. He also said that it was just borderline abnormal and that it definitely did not indicate cancerous cells. He explained all the different reasons for abnormal results and it sounded as though there are numerous times when it is either test or analyst error. I have no other problems that would indicate something strange going on so I am going to trust that somehow mine too was a fluke abnormal and life can move ahead without concern. This isn't to say I won't think about it every now and then or I won't be praying b/c I will but I am not going to let it consume me and define who and what I am until I hear results. So until then...
Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous day! It was 68 at one point ( I took a picture of the car therm. to prove it) and sooo beautiful. Such a tease for spring! I seriously can not wait for beautiful days again. We went outside for a bit... too muddy to do much but the kids rode bikes a bit and just enjoyed the sunshine. I tried to take a few pics of Micah for his 5 yr. pics but not sure I got much. He was being quite silly ;) and ready to play, pictures were the last thing on his mind. We will see... I promise to get that memory card out of my camera and onto the computer today.
Last nite almost ended in an ER trip... we probably could have but with the weather forecast and the uncertainty of the necessity, we chanced staying home and waiting until today. I am glad we did for I think he will heal just fine on his own but... here is how it all went down.
Micah was running into the bathroom to get his teeth brushed and slipped on an ever slippery spot on the floor near the doorway. Somehow as he fell, his body turned and he ended up hitting his head on the bottom of the counter. The corner took a nice gash out of the back of his head and it started bleeding right away. I knew it was something serious b/c of his initial cry and then I noticed the blood... Thankfully the tears or blood didn't last long, but you could definitely see into the cut and pinch it closed. We honestly have never dealt with blood with either kid so far so were totally clueless. After keeping a cloth on it for awhile, we washed it out and put antibiotic ointment on it and we decided to wait until morning to see how it was doing. (after reading that you can actually wait up to 24 hours if it isn't actively bleeding- which it wasn't) It seems to be fine this morning- not yet pulled together but it seems to be healing on its own. Thankfully, I think we avoided this one :)
I am back to babysitting today and the boys are having fun with Micah's new toys. Addie just woke up and the other two girls are watching the boys play basketball. I hope it continues to go smoothly :) makes things much happier around here.
I have to make treats for Micah's school tomorrow and finish up a couple of photo orders sometime as well. Sometimes I wish I could buy a couple of extra hours to get everything done :) I promise to get some pics off the card as well so I can hopefully share some tomorrow.
I can't believe my first born is going to be five tomorrow. Gosh... I can still remember the nite I went into the hospital... but that is a story for another day... like tomorrow.

SO happy that you have a compassionate and kind doctor who allayed your fears and that you are feeling in a better place - I continue to keep you in thought and prayers about the test results.
YIKES to Micah's injury - I'm glad it doesn't seem to be serious.
Good luck with today and wishing Micah an early Happy Birthday!!

You know we've already had 2 incidents with stitches so I am glad that it was avoided on your part! One thing I have found for wounds that may not quite be stitches needed, they sell this glue that you can put right into the wound, sorta like they do at the hospital. I forget who makes it. but it's one of the bandaid companies. It works great, it's safe and worth not going to the er or urgent care.
Again, I am sure that your tests will come back fine, it's good that you have a great doctor! That always helps!

Glad to hear that you have an amazing doctor...that always helps the situation. Will be praying that everything is fine, but glad he was able to ease some of your concerns.
Boys and blood...there's a reason they both start with the same letter!!!! Glad you avoided stitches!

Glad to hear your doctor put your worries to rest!!!
Hope Micah is feeling better today after the incident and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the little man!!!
