We finally had a bit of relief in the way of weather today (I never thought I would be saying that three weeks ago...) and we all enjoyed the coolness that the upper 70s brought to us. We have practically lived outside the past few days... from Saturday for Addie's little birthday party until yesterday for her little "tea" party... we have been outside as much as time allowed. Both kids really enjoy jumping on the trampoline as well as playing in the pool/ sprinkler... now we just need a full sized pool to keep Tim and I cool.
The weekend kind of kicked off on Friday when my Mom came to stay over for Addie's party. We went out to eat and then we went to the mall to get A's ears pierced. She had been asking since Christmas and it really started again when she got me earrings for my birthday. We had talked a lot about it and I told her how it would pinch a bit... She was great up through them piercing... but when they pulled away and she saw the crowd of people watching (quite a crowd had formed to watch her) she melted. She absolutely loves them now and protects them with her entire being. For the first few days she didn't want me to hug her b/c in her words... "you will make them fall out Mommy" HA!
Ad had a ton of fun at her party Saturday. Although it was a small group (my Mom and then my bro. and his family) we still had fun. I am sure you won't be surprised to hear that she was insanely spoiled with princess stuff and I believe she could now outfit most of her friends with a entire princess wardrobe. Crazy girl!! She has had a blast dressing up ever since.
Sunday was crazy busy between recovering from Sat. and then a youth fundraiser that took a lot of the afternoon...
and then Monday brought another little gathering at our house for Ms. A. Since we don't do friend parties at age "3" Addie was broken hearted her friends weren't coming over. Being that it seemed kinda unfair since she saw her brother have his this year, we compromised and allowed her to invite a few friends over for a "tea" party and summer fun. We kicked the boys out (don't worry... they had their own fun at the movies) and all in all had five girl's here in their princess glory. They were too cute together... and Addie just soaked it all up. I am so glad she has such great friends and truly finds pleasure in having them around :)
Ad was also asked to model some clothes with one of her friends for a boutique designer so I took photos of that on Monday as well... I must say that they are both too cute for words!! If you are ever in need of an adorable boutique clothing piece... I know where to find a great designer :)
Today was semi back to normal. The kids and I ran errands to pick up a few things for a photo shoot tomorrow and then we ate at Tim's moms and had a t-ball game tonite. Thankfully, after a horrible weekend, Mom B. seems to be doing MUCH better and is hopefully on the upside of this round of chemo. Only five more to go...
Tomorrow I am meeting a youth to workout at 7:30am and then have a newborn photo shoot later on in the day. I can't wait... I love babies! :) The rest of the week will be spent wrapping up things before conference- can't believe it is almost here again. Time sure does move quickly.
I haven't gotten through all the photos from the past few days but here are a few of Addie to hold you over until I can get a slideshow together...

Love the model shots - that outfit is DARLING on her, but she totally makes it with all her cuteness! ;)
