We are finally back home again... in some ways it seems we just left yesterday and in others it seems like we were gone an eternity. No matter, a mountain of laundry looms before me and numerous other odds and ends to tackle before the same process repeats for our next adventure.
Conference week was great... it went from a forecast of insanely hot temps. to some of the coolest summer temps I can remember but although someone forgot their sweatshirt, we survived :)
I had a great time meeting a chatting with numerous people, eating great Lakeside treats, drinking coffee and just spending time taking everything in. I know numerous people dread going up to conference, but for us, it is a time of growth, relaxation and I can't imagine summer without it.
One of the highlights of my week was being able to sit and have coffee with my former Pastor's wife, one of the most special people in my life. It was SO great to catch up with her, to share a part of where we are in our life and hear where they are with theirs. She is a proud grandma and it was great to see photos and hear all about the new addition.
Addison officially turned 3 on Monday, she is crushed that her birthday is now officially over. I think she enjoyed the special treatment for the past few weeks ;) We had a small party for her and her two cousins that have birthdays coming up. I still can't believe she is 3, thankfully she still loves to cuddle and hug and kiss... I am soaking up these moments just in case they don't happen again.
I didn't take many photos while we were gone, it was actually kind of nice ;) I caught a few cute moments when all the kids fell asleep on the couch together (Addie standing up) and a few from Ad's little party but other than that, I kept the camera under wraps. Even though I haven't gotten those off the card yet (we got home late last nite) here are two of my little 3 year old.
