that in just a little over a week, (10 days to be exact), my little Micah will be off to start kindergarten? I am still in denial and disbelief but our pre-orientation this afternoon confirmed that yes indeed, kindergarten in just around the corner.
Micah was a bit nervous when we first walked into his room but after finding his cubby and doing a scavenger hunt to familirize himself with the room, he was intent on staying and definitely not ready to go home. His teacher seems nice enough, I just hope she can handle Micah when he gets into one of his moods. He met a few classmates and will be meeting more on Thursday when they have their own orientation for Kindergarten (today's was for the entire school). On Friday Micah will have his screening which I pray he does well with. I know he can, in fact, he is reading at a first grade level and already doing addition problems and such but I also know that if Micah doesn't want to do something he won't do something. So... be praying for his ability to focus and do his best :)
As you can imagine, I am a miz of emotions right now. Micah going into Kindergarten, Addie starting preschool... my babies are growing up before my eyes. I can't believe time has went this quickly but indeed it has and although I used to laugh when I heard how fast babies grew up I know realize how true those words truly were.
