We have a date!!

After much worry and concern over the little guy in my uterus, I am excited to announce that all is well and we will be welcoming him into the world April 27th, 2009 around 9:00am. From at least 20 wks thru 30 weeks I had placenta previa which thankfully moved at least 7cm! :) meaning that all is well to continue on as normal with this pregnancy. Although I may not have complained to get to meet him sooner, I am glad he is where he belongs and can continue growing (which he is doing quite well I might add... 7lbs at 35 weeks!) and maturing until he enters the world.
So... 27 days... Eeek!

With the anticipation of a possible early delivery, we have been running around like mad people prepping for Silas' arrival. There are days when I am not sure I can do this all over again... diapers, nursing, no sleep... but then I think of the sweet scent of a freshly bathed newborn and having him cuddle up on my chest and the excitement the other two have and I am ready to face the challenges. We had to downsize on numerous baby items due to lack of space with having two other kids but I am excited by some new purchases that were made possible through selling off Ad's old clothes. While I am sad I will never have another little girl to dress up, I treasure the fact that she and I can revel in being the princesses of the house :) We still need to purchase some small things like light sleepers for the first few months, bottles (all of ours were recalled), etc... but I think we are at least initally ready for his arrival :)

The rest of my life of course revolves around the other two... both busy in their respective schools and activities. Micah just got his 3rd 9wks report card and once again did exceedingly well. He is at or above all standards and even brought up two of his three N's (needs improvement) in the behvaior area. They weren't/ aren't bad things... more like the same issues I possibly always had ;) (ahem... mostly has something to do with being a bit too social at times ;) ) So we are VERY proud of him for his continued efforts and improving those areas. In fact, he also just finished up this month's behvior chart and he only had one yellow day (meaning 1 time being corrected that day) the entire month (which is great for him- he normally had two to three- all for basic, ummm... talking issues ;) ) So... good things in that front.
Addie is doing well in preschool and continuing to soak up knowledge. She is VERY active, loves sports and all things girly. She is completely opposite of Micah- doesn't care as much to sit and learn academic things but is a great friend, plays great with others, shares, has a tender heart, and very artistic :) The teachers are always asking me if they can take her home with them b/c she is always hugging them or others in class that might be loners. I love that she has such a huge and gentle heart. She is starting to grasp some alphabet things and can almost write her name so there is some hope on the academic front ;)

Both kids are finishing up with Y classes this week and will be taking a break for the next session due to Silas' arrival. We are thinking of sending them both to a few private swim lessons before summer due to the fact we will be going to NC this summer but nothing is firm there yet. Addie will prob. test out of the beg. class quickly and Micah, well, Micah will be moving out of the class b/c he is too old. He has improved and we are hoping that with a private lesson or two he might grab those last basic things to bring him up to level with his age. So...

Silas is up in my ribs now so to enable easier breathing I need to stretch but hopefully this has caught some of you up with our lives. In closing I will share a random pic of Micah. He has a goofy smile recently so I told him to look at me seriously and this is what he gave me this afternoon. I am not sure what draws me to it but something keeps me going back :)
