Happy Mother's Day

Let me just say it right out front, "I LOVE being a Mom"! It isn't always easy and there are definitely times I get frustrated but all in all, being a Mom is the best thing in the world. This year is extra special as we welcomed Silas into our family almost two weeks ago. Maybe it is just me, but after Micah was born, I wondered how I could ever love another child as much as I loved him. I was so excited to bring Addie into our family but there was still that fear that my love wouldn't be the same. Lo and behold, the moment I laid eyes on her, my heart doubled in size and made room for two. This same thing happened with Silas- I have enjoyed Micah and Addie for so long that I wondered if we were just crazy adding another into the mix. Although it has only been two weeks- I can't imagine life without Silas. He fits in as if he has always been a part and I just melt when I look into his little sparkling eyes. Yes, being a Mom is simply the best thing in the world.

We had a busy day- well maybe not busy but when recovering from a c-section, little things wear you out for awhile and needless to say, I am exhausted. I made it to church (even getting all three ready as Tim had to be there early) and then my parents came down for a quick visit before they headed to PA, we went to Tim's Mom's for dinner and then the kids wanted to take me out for ice cream. They both made me adorable cards that I will have to share tomorrow as Silas is currently asleep on me and they are nowhere closeby. I do have a few pictures to share- the kids in their matching mothers day shirts, one of them together and then one of me and my Mom (and Silas). Please ignore my beatdown look- as I said, I am exhausted!!
