and then my play. The color was off in the original and everytime I tried to correct it- I ended up too yellow so...
I first cropped to bring her eyes up into the top third. I think cloned out the bruises on her legs and did a quick USM. After those basic steps, I played with the color balance to warm the photo up a bit and then desaturated the overall color to give a more "worn" look to the photo. After the photo was desat. enough, I upped the vibrance to bring out the pinks and then did a quick edge burn and ran noiseware at a slight level to get rid of any processing noise.

I check out this I love faces all the time but have yet to get into anything yet. It looks fun and I love editing, I should give it a go around some time! I really like the way your version turned out!
