The Voices Within Me

Tonite while baking cookies, Ad insisted she knew how to crack eggs. I finally relented (showed I believed in her) and gave her a dish to break them into. She gently tapped (I was thinking, wow, this is going well...), got a small crack, and then proceeded to smoosh the insides out. She was so proud until upon closer inspection, she saw pieces of shell. In order to salvage her work, she set about trying to remove them. Two missed attempts later she looked at me,shrugged her... shoulders & said, "I don't think a few pieces of shell in the batter will really matter Mom"
