to clean the house... when you have to rush (for the third time) to see what your nine month old is putting into his mouth from the treasures under the table.
to get different diapers... when you have changed two "up the back explosions" in the same day.
to get a haircut... when you have pulled your hair back into a ponytail for the fifth straight day in a row.
to put away the laundry... when you find yourself searching through piles of clothes for the shirt your child wants to wear.
to do dishes... when your almost 7 year old is forced to use a baby spoon b/c all of the bigger spoons are dirty.
to sweep and scrub the kitchen... when you can feel crumbs through your socks and you wonder whether that is melted snow mess or coffee dripped near the garbage can.
to move out of Ohio... when they close school for the 2nd day in a row (4th day this school year) b/c of snow. Don't they realize us Mom's need a break and are willing to brave a few inches to get that free time? : )
Thankfully most of these were accomplished today (ok ok... I don't really want to move out of Ohio but if there is some freak snowstorm again tonite... I just might have to get over my fear of flying and head south) and I am feeling MUCH better about my life than I was this morning.
