If you know me, then you probably know my oldest son Micah. Micah is VERY creative... always thinking and processing things in his mind. He recently saved up money to buy a book on shooting your own tv shows and music videos... which he has devoured. One section talks about creating your own music video and that seems to have consumed him during the past few days.
Micah is VERY private about anything creative he is working on. Most of the time he worries about perfection and other times, well I honestly don't know. I just know not to ask unless he opens that door of communication and thankfully he has opened it wide today. I know he has been working on drawing out his storyboard for how the video will play out but beyond that, I only knew he wanted to be both director and actor and that he was using the green screen that came with the book.
Following dinner this evening, he retreated to his room to do more reading and planning for his video, only to come down about 20 mins later asking me to explain what "hip hop" music was. He showed me his book and their "explanation" of the styles and such of hip hop but he wanted to fully understand what all it entailed. After an haphazard explanation, he ran back upstairs to continue with his work. About 10 mins later he came down with his "hip hop" shirt on, a bandanna around his neck (I think he looks a bit more cowboy with that and they were meaning more around the head...), sunglasses, headphones and "chains" He asked how he looked and begged me to photograph him so that he could remember how to look when the time comes to actually shoot his video. So... without further adieu...
