Yesterday we traveled to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park for a Day Out With Thomas the Tank Engine. This trip is courtesy of My brother and his family as a gift for Micah's 2nd Birthday. Micah is a Thomas fanatic, so it was only proper to have everything about this year be Thomas- and what a better treat than this.
We drove up to Cuyahoga Falls in the afternoon and walked around a bit before our train departure. Micah was a little nervous as we boarded, but after he realized he could look out the window and see the world around him, he was quite content throughout the 25 minute trip. The train was actually quite plush, to my amazement, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself the entire time.
After our train ride was complete, we waited outside the gates and took tons of pictures to commemorate this event. After pictures, we headed across the street to take part in all of the Thomas activities they provided. We went from the temporary tattoo parlor to pictures with Sir Topam Hat back to the arts and crafts tent and model train tent (with a few other places in between) and finished up with the merchandise tent where Micah chose a Thomas shirt and some more temporary tattoos.
We took tons of pictures and everyone had a great time spending the day with Thomas. I hope to be able to do this again sometime with more of the family train fanatics :) This is surely something we will all treasure for years and years to come.
