Family Visit

Being that my birthday was on an already crazy day, my family was not able to be a part of any celebration so they decided to come down yesterday, on another already crazy day ;) I really did want to see them and spend some time together so we figured out how to squeeze it in between everything else that was on our plates.
So the morning starts off with church and then Sunday School and then we have a few hours of break time before the next wave of activity. At two we tried to go to calling hours for a dear man that passed away from our church but being that he was well known around here and people adore the family, the lines were hours long and we just couldn't pull that off with a 2 year old in tow. (Oh how I wish we had more family close so that we had options to use as a quick babysitter :( )
After this we headed home to change and get changed and head out to a graduation party for one of our dear youth friends. It was a nice little party with lots of yummy food and friends :)
While we are at the party we get a call from my brother telling us that they are in our driveway waiting for us to get home. WTWTF? Ummm- they were supposed to call on the way down so that we knew when to leave. ARGGHHHH!!! My family can drive me crazy sometimes! I wouldn't even care that much- but I hate making people wait and now we are rushed to leave and BLECH!!!!
After the call we of course leave and head home to visit. We went to the park and played a long time and then went inside and just sat and talked for a bit. After awhile we were all starving and my dad suggested we all go to the Golden Corral for dinner. We all pile into vehicles and head out to eat- which was pleasantly sparesly populated on a late Sunday nite. We had a pretty nice time, albeit screaming children and some of the food not being up to par, but all in all it was great.
It was really late after we finished eating so my brother and family left for home from the restaurant and my parents, being that they rode with us, left as soon as they got back to the house.
Again, a very busy day but it ended up being nice to visit and do a few family things. I wish my parents lived closer- Micah adores them, but hopefully that will come in the near future.
