So yesterday, although it was my birthday, was spent doing tons of errands and going to a graduation party. Tim had a huge meeting in the morning so Micah and I just relaxed while he was gone and got ready for the day.
After he came home, we did a few things around the house and then headed out to do some last minute baby things, go the Best Buy, etc...and then head to a graduation party in Mogadore. We took forever doing the errands and started to run behind really quickly, which put me in a tizzy right away. After starting out, I realized that b/c of miscommunication, we didn't have directions to the house. No fear, Tim knew how to get to Mogadore and I had an idea of where the house was (from childhood memories- lol)
We start out ok- heading north and things are going well (even if we are already late) until suddenly we aren't on the road Tim thought took us to Mogadore. We keep driving and end up in a town we knew was close, but still no c jackpot. We drive and drive, and drive some more and finally stop and ask where Mogadore was in comparison to where we were. We were close- but just hitting the edge instead of the center where we needed.
The gas station guy points us in the right direction (of course none of this is on our atlas since we have a stinky one) and we finally drive into Mogadore. So the rest should be easy, right? Nope- nothing is familar. It isn't a big town so we drive around and end up in like four other towns accidentally and have to turn around. We drove and drove and drove some more and again, stopped at a gas station and asked if anyone knew where the road we were looking for was located. No one had any clue. GREAT!! Now we are here and can't find the house. I finally broke down and called the house and asked for directions (which I hate doing) and of course, we were minutes away. After we were off the main road- everything was familar and it was easy to locate. ARGHHH!!!! In the end, we finally made it, maybe a few hours late, but we did make it.
When we get there I have all these family memebers telling me how they thought I had went into labor and didn't call. WTWTF? They said that my mom told them I never called until afterwards before so I may have forgotten again. ARGHH!!!!! I tried to laugh it off, but it really bothered me. We called when we were at the hospital with Micah- sorry we didn't call at 1 in the morning while driving there. They knew way way way before he was ever born...anyway...that is another story.
So I get to see all the relatives that I don't see all that often and saw my brother and his new baby for the first time. Micah played great with all the kids and him and Tyler (my nephew) interacted a bit. It is weird to see my brother with two kids now- but I am sure I will get used to it since they are home from Iceland.
All in all, it was a nice party, I can't believe that Ashley is out of school now. I still see her as this little blond haired pig tailed cutie walking around- now she is off to college. Time sure does fly.
