Ok, I am going to cheat a bit and back post some days b/c I have a lot to say and didn't get time to say it all and it only makes sense to do it in order :) So I am going to start with "today" June 4th :)
What a wonderful day to wake up and know that I am no longer the same age as I was when I went to bed last nite. I feel refreshed, alive, and thankful for each and every year of my life and I am looking forward to the many years that I have left ahead of me.
This has been a very special birthday, all thanks to my husband. He really is the sweetest, most kind person that I could have ever fallen in love with. I know that I may not always see that or always focus on that, but when it comes down to it, I have no doubt our love for one another and the "rightness" of our union. I thank God for bringing him into my life.
Ok, back to why this birthday was so special ;) Yesterday was our day for celebration b/c we have a TON of things to accomplish today. I knew that we were going out to eat and seeing a movie (since we were taking Micah to G-ma and G-pa's house) but that was about the extent of my knowledge. I also thought I knew what my gifts were since we had discussed about me saving money to shop after Addy is born and I knew that just getting the Rebel is going to make our money a bit tight. Of course, you can probably see that it didn't turn out how I thought, so lets start at the beginning.
I wake up and come downstairs to find a gift on my chair from Micah. I can not open till he wakes up- so I go online and browse around until I hear him stirring. When he emerges from his room, I ask him if I can open my present- which he proceeds to take from me. He kept pointing at it and saying, "Mommy present" and did finally relinquish it and allow me to help him open it :) Inside was a beautiful Precious Moment figurine of a Mommy and a little boy whom Micah told me right away was "dipa" (Micah for those not with the lingo ;) ) After this we proceeded with our morning of getting showered and ready for the big day.
At noon we took Micah over to G-ma and Poppa Choo Choos house for a day of fun while we went out on our day. He was all too excited to go in and we were able to make it out of there relatively fast. After getting in the car, I was handed my first "clue" which took us to destination #1. We won't talk about why I waited so long, but we had a fun experience there. It all started with Tim saying, "Looks like someone dropped their cell phone in the parking lot" and moved on to a "crunch". No time for that story but it was sort of funny.
After our first stop was completed, I received my second clue. "What Day is Today? There you shall go. Consuming the Goodness. Then Maybe a cup of Joe?" This took us to destination #2 where we ate scrumptious meals and had sinfully chocolate dessert. Following our stomach engorgement, I received another cryptic clue that I couldn't decipher and Tim just sat laughing at me and telling me how we would miss the movie if I didn't get it. After awhile he felt bad for me and helped me piece together a few things and we ended up at a closed down restaurant that we had frequented on our first anniversary. We just stopped and took a quick picture here as a tribute to past times together :)

After this I was given another wrapped package. Inside was a beautiful Willow Tree carving of an angel with a heart- symbolizing our love and the love of our family. (I told you he was sweet) Of course, following this, I received another clue which this time took me to destination #4
We walked around a bit, shopped some (of course Tim found great deals- Men are so easy to shop for) and then headed to the car so as not to miss our movie time, and destination #5. The clue read, "The glass shipper of yore. Adam, not Eve. Your viewing Enjoyment. Relax, no reprieve."
This took us to see the movie, Cinderella man, which we have both wanted to see since we first saw it advertised many many months ago. It far exceeded my expectations and I really hope to see it come on strong around around Oscar time. Acting is phenomenal, story line breaks your heart- all around wonderful movie.
The fourth and final clue was given to me on the way home from the movie. It read, "Frozen ointment, hearts and spades This last surprise has been in the works for days. Trusty companions, Babies in blue. Happy 25th Birthday, Remember I love you." As I read it I thought of two possibilities, either a) my family was at my house for a surprise party (all fit together with Matt being home with the boys and trusty companion could have been the dog, Jessie) or our friends were there for a surprise party. We went and picked Micah up and headed home to which I assumed people would be there jumping out at me- which I didn't want. No one was there when we got there- but I knew there was still something up. About 10 mins later I looked out the window and saw our friends brad and krystal driving up, and I knew that Tim had planned them all to come over for a little party. We had fun playing poker (no betting- lol- we are all too poor for that), eating, talking about babies and just enjoying one another's company.

It was all a lot of fun but boy was I wiped out after that day. It is definitely a birthday to remember and I am just so thankful to have such a caring and loving husband who would want to do that all for me. I truly am blessed and this just cements that feeling even deeper.
Happy Birthday to me. Here is to another wonderful 25 years.
