In just an hour Addie and I are off to the doctor to determine if we have a thrush infection. I am pretty sure that is what is cauing the nursing pain as well as her "white" mouth and horrible diaper rash. I hope we can get things taken care of so we can once again enjoy nursing. It has been one thing after another with nursing her- it will get better- right?!?
In other news...I am a new Aunt!!! Tim's sister Abbey had a baby boy on Tuesday July 5th. He was her smallest baby, weighing in at 8 lbs 5 ozs and 20 1/2 inches long. They named him Josiah Joseph Edward E. (J2E2) :) I guess they are going to call him Jo Jo as a nickname- at least when he is small. I hope that he and Addie grow up to be close- it is really neat that they are just a little under 3 weeks apart in age. I can't wait to see all of them again- I so wish they lived close by so the kids could get together and play. Good news is that they are moving to Ohio- though still far away, it is a bit closer than W.VA. is right now. Gabe and Harper will be with Grandma next week to give Abbey time to recover so I am sure we will have lots of day visits while they are here :)
Lets see...Oh yes- today, actually just a few minutes ago, Addie turned three weeks old. Wow- time flies! I can't imagine life without her though I do miss being pregnant. It is so fun to have a little girl- I can't wait to watch her grow up in the coming years. Micah is a great big brother as well- he loves to look in her bassinette and wave at her- it is so cute to see him on his tip-toes peeking over the edge :) I love my two kiddos and hope they become best of friends as they go through life.
UPDATE... As I suspected, we have a thrush infection. Poor little girl. I can deal with pain, I wish she didn't have to. Hopefully we are on our way to healing though- she has a medicine for the diaper rash and drops for her mouth and I have a cream for myself as well. BLECH. Good news is that she has gained over a pound since birth and 2 inches. I knew she liked to eat- but my oh my. My little girl is growing too fast :(
