Ahhh- we had a wonderful week of vacation in Lakeside, Ohio. The last 10 days were spent with Tim's entire family on the shore of Lake Erie and while it is sorta nice to be home it is also sad that it is over.
It was really nice to see all the family together...we met little Josiah Ernst for the first time (he is 12 days younger than Addie), and saw Paola, Christian, and Asa for only the second time since their adoption in December. The week went pretty smooth- there were a few snags here and there- but when you have 18 people together and the temp. soars in the 90s day after day...it all went well.
We spent most days down at the pool with Micah and the other kids. Micah had a blast while Addie napped most days.
We took a tip to the Toledo Zoo and went to a few other local places along the way. I wish there would have been more relaxation time and that we would have had more special time on our anniversary but it was great just to watch Micah interact with his cousins. He just adores Gabe- he follows him around like a shadow. It was too sweet- as Gabe was leaving on Saturday he called Micah over to the van- their coversation went something like this...Gabe: "Micah, come here" Micah: "Ok" he goes over and Gabe gets out of the van and bends over to hug Micah. Gabe:"I am gonna miss you" Micah "Gabe". It was too sweet. I love the bond that they share and hope that it continues for many years to come.
Here are a few more pictures from the trip- enjoy! :)
