I am a slacker! I haven't updated in a few days- BUT- I have a good excuse! I have been re-doing our kitchen and between that and normal family life...my days have been overflowing with activity.
In short, fall is in full swing here in NE Ohio- the trees are gorgeous and if only we could have a bit more warmth- we would be out enjoying it a bit more. Our kitchen is finally repainted- I LOVE the colors- it looks so much brighter :) Next on the agenda...the bedroom. That will take a bit more time- but it is going to look great as well.
Louisville is still undeafeted (go Leps!) and will be making the playoffs- so one more frigid football parking nite is ahead. Saturday we had a great time at the fall party that Krystal held at her house. How I miss getting together with everyone- we so have to do this a bit more. I feel so out of the loop nowadays.
Today Addie was baptized down at Herrington Church (where Grandpa is Pastor). My parents, my SIL and BIL, and our friends Brad, Krystal, and Jeremiah were able to be there for the service. Addie's dress was beautiful- my mom made it out of her wedding gown- this is something that we will always hold dear to our hearts. Thanks Mom!!
This evening we went to the church Mission auction and ended up coming home with a cupboard thing for our kitchen- it is made out of this old ammo box- it is really neat :) It totally fits with the decor. (well at least I think so) We actually ended up with a great deal on it- we were thinking that it would go for a lot more money- but there was only one other bid against us and I think that was just to raise up the price a bit.
So that is what we have been up to here at our house. Micah and Addie's Halloween costumes are ready to go and they are adorable (thanks again Mom). Micah practiced his trick-or-treating today with Grandma and Grandpa and got a few pieces of candy for his stash :) I can't wait to get pictures of them next week- they are both going to be adorable and then add in little Jeremiah as the Lion and Walker as the Scarecrow- it is the perfect little Wizard of Oz set (and how appropriate that it is the week it all comes out on DVD).
In other news- for those of you that pray- please keep my friend Carla in your prayers. She is pregnant with her second child and having some preterm labor which has put her on bedrest. She is almost to the safe point- but it is still hard on her and I know she is just dying to be up and around- esp. spending time with her little boy. Thanks in advance :)
So I have TONS of new pictures- so many that you all would be annoyed with my posting of them. I am just going to post a couple of them here on the blog but the rest will be available to view through my Photos link on the side or by clicking the word Photos. I hope you enjoy!
