I have a bunch of little "nothings" in my head right now- nothing really worthy of a blog post but I wanted to post my new self portrait and figured I needed something else to go along with it so that I don't scare you all away. ;) Here goes nothing...
*Micah is funny. Tonite he was trying to "trick" Tim into getting off the couch. He wanted to sit there and even though there was room for both- he wanted it to himself. When he got close and Tim tickled him, he told him to "back off" I have no idea where he heard that one.
*Micah's new favorite phrase is, "I've got a present for you" which usually means one of the food items that came with his cash register he got for Christmas. You then must proceed to eat or drink whatever fake food that might be.
*Another Micah funny- one of his new things is to "be like Mommy". That means sitting on the couch with his toy laptop on his legs. (I am not sure if that is a good thing or not- but it sure is darn cute)
*Micah still wasn't asleep when I checked ten minutes ago. We are being calm again. It still doesn't seem to work but at least our night isn't ruined.
*Addie is just the cutest little thing. She LOVES zwieback toast- it takes her forever to gnaw a piece but she sure does enjoy it.
*Micah played really well with Addie today- he was telling her all about his "people" airplane (little people) and even let her play with his tiger phone
*I am trying to be disciplined and do a devotional called, "12 days with Jesus" by Tony Jones. It is really hard when I am always interruppted by a child (usually telling me that he has a present for me)
*It finally snowed again. Too bad Christmas is over- it just didn't seem right being all grey and brown this year.
*I still haven't taken down all my Christmas decorations. I hate this part of the holidays- although it is work to put up- you get that joy- now all I get is the longing for summer.
*Winter Jam is next weekend. If you live in the NE Ohio area and have teens- ask me about it :)
*Tim got a free Itunes download for being charged .01 for a free song. Why don't I get luck like that?
*Micah is up once again. He is in the b-room. This is time number 4. Suuuure he has to go.
*I need to clean up my new scrapbook desk. It is a mess. I also need to purge. So much work. Blah!
*A Friends rerum is on- I actually don't think I have seen this one- is that possible?
*I actually volunteered to run errands tomorrow. Tim is staying with the kids. On the list...Conf. Office to get projector, Sams Club, Starbucks ( I must use some of my giftcard :) ), grocery store. Sad that just getting out of the house for that is exciting for me.
*We really need my parents to move down here so they can watch the kids every now and then. I really want to be more involved with youth but I can't exactly bring over both kids and we really don't have someone that can always help us out. That and an occassional date nite. Oh how wonderful that would be. I haven't been out with just Tim since well at least since Addie was born. I am finicky about leaving Addie still- actually I have only left her for a short time with my MIL but felt horrible when I found out she was a bit fussy for them. Sigh.
*I really would love to have a moms group or something to have my kids interact with other children on a more regular basis. I also need that friendship. It seems everyone is just always too busy anymore.
*I need to start looking into preschool options for Micah for the fall. Wow- I swear he was just a baby and now this? Yikes!
*I am so sad- we really wanted to join the Y this year but unfortunately it is still out of our price range for the time being.
*I want my own house that I choose and that I can do with as I please. I want a yard and somewhere that is a bit more private. I wouldn't live on a busy street almost on top of the road. I hate this trap we are in. We can't save enough to get somewhere of our own and our house is part of Tim's job. We leave the house- nothing would change- we would just have new bills and the same money. I am thankful we have a place to live but....
*I always could get a job. But we again don't have child care. Thus we would have to pay for it. Which leaves us with practically nothing. That and I don't want other people raising my children. I chose to have them- I want to be the one raising them. I want to always be there for them- not having to tell them I can't go to such and such b/c I have work.
*Someday I hope and believe my photography will take off and help support us. I can work my hours. I can be my own boss. I pray things work out- how wonderful that would be :) On that note...
*I took a lot of random pictures today. I am too tired to upload them all. But I will close and share the one reason for this post- my self portrait. I think it may become my new blog avatar. Specs...Canon Digital Rebel, P mode, Auto Focus, 50 mm lense

Looking at your self portrait again. This one is bigger than the one at lm. I can see a lot how you and Matt really do have similar features. Not like identical or anything, but you can definatly tell you are siblings. I think mostly, you 2 have very similar smiles!! Beautiful Photo of you!!

you look beautiful in the pic-i especially love the way your eyes pop! lol-micah saying "back off" to daddy! i totally know what you mean about the christmas decorations! i just can't seem to climb the stairs for the box to put everything away :) i love the way the house looks at night with all the lights off except the tree...

I'm with ya on the Christmas decorations. It's so depressing. For some reason, if I don't get them down by Jan. 2 then I feel too daunted by the task.
I hear ya on the house thing too. I would like something other than beige carpet for a change [eyeroll]
