I was able to get out of the house today sans children :) Oh what a lovely day it was indeed. First, I went and got my hair cut. Not just a little cut- but 3 1/2 inches off the bottom and like 6 or so to the shortest layers. I needed something fun and bouncy for spring- I thought I could do long hair again- but I wavered. I really like it though and am glad I went and got it done.
After my hair appt., I went to Green Farms and picked up some fresh fruit (miniolas, bananas, apples, grapes) and veggies (sweet potatoes, potatoes, and broccoli). YUM! I just love having fresh fruit in the house :) Since I went out, I was able to make my Broccoli Stir Fry tonite- and ohhhh- YUM! I think this is possibly my favorite meal I make right now. Thank you Martha!!
Following Green Farms, I went and had my dreaded eye appt. There was some good news- my one eye actually improved. I don't think I have EVER been told that!! LOL. Even with improvement, I am still quite blind so my glasses will still have a bit of thickness to them :( Oh well- I don't wear them out anywhere unless necessary so in all honesty, it isn't a HUGE deal. I do love the frames I picked out- they are black kinda ovalish frames- very chic if I must say so. Much better than my now broken pair. I may even wear these a bit more often :)
After my vision appt., I picked up a few grocery items and headed back home. All in all- it wasn't a real exciting day- BUT it was a few hours without the kids ;) I came home to both of them sleeping (though Addie woke up minutes afterwards). Thanks Tim for giving me that little break today :)
Being that I had a nice quiet afternoon, I should have known it would be a loud and rambunctious evening. Between Micah and Addie, I don't think there was more than 30 seconds of quiet at a time. Sigh...when is that spring weather coming? I am not going to survive being housebound much longer. Micah has all this extra energy and Addie- well she just feeds off of him. He screams, she screams, he runs around in circles, she crawls and tries to get into things she isn't supposed to. It NEVER ends! Thank goodness they are in bed now- though of course I am so tired I don't feel like doing anything. I did update Tim's blog template tonite if you want to check it out and leave him a comment ;) He still has a bit of tweaking to do- but the basic design is at least complete now.
Tomorrow should be a more or less laid back day. I have to return some cds to the Library and other than that- nothing is on my schedule. That can either be good or bad. The day will either drag or race by- I am hoping for the latter ;) Maybe I will get a few scrapping projects completed or do an art project with Micah. Ohh- maybe I will make some cookies- yeah- since we ate all the last ones within a few days. LOL- nothing like throwing off my progress in exercising.
In closing I will share one of my new projects. When Micah was born we bought these cute Classic Pooh Letters to spell out his name. Well now that we have Addie, we wanted to do the same thing- except they are now discontinued. I still wanted to do something so waaaay back when I was still pregnant, I bought wooden letters with the intent of covering them with patterned paper and using them in her room. Well, time passed by and it never happened, until this weekend. I now had the perfect paper for what I envisioned. I ended up using, Junkitz Shabby Chic Collection, the pinks, tans, browns, and blues just seemed perfect for what I envisioned. Coupled with some Prima Flowers and other odds and ends, I think they came out quite cute. You can decide for yourself :)

Oh, I love those letters with Addie's name! Very cute! Now you need to show us your hair! It has been getting long for quite awhile! I was thinking when you left comments on my blog and I saw Tim's name. I was like. Tim never leaves comments for me. lol it was a shock at first. His blog looks great. The black and red go well together! If you get too bored at home you can always come and help me pack!;) LOL
