want a bowl of MY Captain Crunch? Who am I talking about? Micah!! LOL. While at the grocery store this evening, I just had this craving for Captain Crunch so I bought myself a box. MYSELF!! LOL. Micah has his own cereal- and yet what did he want for a snack tonite- MINE!! I tried bribing the boy- grapes, chips, M&Ms but NOPE- he wanted my Captain Crunch. How dare he? LOL. I guess he at least has good taste- but darn it- I was going to savor that box for as long as possible.
On that topic of eating, Micah actually ate tonite without a fight. He tried something new- and ate it ALL! I about fell over- this is NOT my boy. I can only hope this is sign of a turnaround- oh gosh- how great would it be to never have the food battle again? Ok- I know, I am getting ahead of myself, but I am giddy at the thought. I will update on our progress.
While still talking about Micah, I just have to say- he has to have some of the funniest mannersims towards Addie that I have ever seen a brother do to a sister. This morning, after his bath, he wanted to wake Addie up (since it was 10:30 and she was still asleep). I told him he could since we were going out later in the afternoon and I hoped she would sleep in the car. He went into the room and said, "Sister, its time to wake up now" and kept singsonging things to her. She raised up and gave him the LARGEST smile and just started "talking". He reached over to her and patted her head and said, "You have some nice hair this morning Addie" (Which if you saw it in the morning- it is anything BUT nice ;)" No matter, it was soooo cute and she was just eating up all that attention. Which brings me to my next topic...
While at Target today, I founda cute dress I wanted to try on. I took both kids in the fitting room and proceeded to try on this dress. After I got it on, Micah asks, "Does it work?" I told him no and he says, "You look beautiful, Mommy". I about got tears in my eyes. I looked nowhere near "beautiful" but hey, in his eyes I guess I was. Awwwwww (I guess he did deserve some of those Captain Crunches after all ;) ) (now he just came and put one in my mouth- he is tempting me...)
Addie was just playing on the floor with Micah and Elmo and pulled herself to standing against the couch. She got so excited though- she let go and toppled over. Gosh- in NO time she will be cruising all over and then walking. YIKES!!
As you can assume from writing about Target, I went out shopping today. Heather and I met up and had fun at the mall and just catching up with one another again. It was great to get out and look at all the new Spring clothes. Love all the new styles!! After meeting with Heather, I went to Target and a few other places and I think I found a dress and shoes for the wedding. Tim's opinion will be the final decision- but I think it looks cute- as cute as something can look on a flabby baby body. LOL
Gosh- this has turned waaaay long and I don't want to bore you all so I will end it here. Tomorrow should be a pretty laid back day- any suggestions of things to do? Tim will be home most of the day- so maybe I will get a bit of free time :) Until then, I will be watching basketball and hoping to hold onto my FIRST PLACE position in our bracket poll- it is so fun to beat guys that think they know it all ;)

That's so funny about Micah. You know that everyone that has Coffman blood in them must have that gene in there. Tyler and Aiden both do the same thing to Matt. They will each have their own bowl yet they will crawl over Matt to get his. LOL

Awww, I love the story of Micah waking Addie this morning. I can picture the whole scene, complete with Addie's crazy morning hair.
WHAT a DOLL he is to tell you that you look beautiful. That is the sweetest. That reminds me that I need to share a McKenna/trying on clothes story on my blog sometime. But it's not even a tenth as cute as Micah's comment.

i didn't think this was a boring post! So cute to hear about the cereal and micah waking up addie. Adorable! I love reading things like that :)
