What is a "duck box" you ask? That is what Tim and I were trying to figure out. This first happened two weeks ago- we never figured out the elusive "duck box". Tonite, we once again hear, "I want my duck box Daddy". We sit and wonder what it is that Micah might be wanting and suddenly Tim asks me if we happen to have a diaper box with a duck on it. I try to picture our diapers and remember that yes, we do in fact have a diaper box with a very very small duck on it. I am still quite confused as Tim asked Micah to show him where this duck box was. As Micah led him to the kitchen and to the basement door, Tim kept saying, "I don't believe it, I really can't believe it." You see, Micah was punished a few weeks back and we took away his Geotrax train set. To pack it up, Tim put it inside of an empty diaper box, hence the "duck box". Micah somehow remembered this and knew that it had been set on the basement steps and had been yearning after it since that point. Only tonite, were we able to figure out what it is he wanted.
Tonite is nite 3- yes 3, in a row that we haven't had to fight Micah to eat. He even asked for seconds tonite- I about fell over. I really really really hope this continues- it is so nice to to have to mar the dinner hour with trying to get him to taste something other than the five foods he normally likes. I am so proud of him :) He honestly has been such a great boy yesterday and today- he and Addie have been playing so well (cept the one incident tonite- but we will let one slip by ;) ). Today he had been sleeping extra long for nap time and since dinner was ready and I saw him stiring as I went to change Addie's diaper, I turned the tables and had her wake him up. It worked the same as it does for him to wake her up- they just LOVE one another. I set Addie down next to him and she started patting his back and squealing- he rolled over and just smiled ear to ear and said, "hi sister, you come to play?" It was just too darn cute!
Tomorrow is wedding day- not mine, but two others that we were invited to. Of course we can't be in two places at once, so we are doing one wedding and one reception. Such fun ;) LOL I hope that I will look ok- gosh I really loathe dressing up and am just not confident about my body after having children. I was looking through some pictures earlier tonite and wow- I looked a lot better just two years ago- yes, even after Micah. I think the dress that I chose will look fine, but I still am a bit nervous. Maybe I will share a picture- then again, maybe not.
Well it is already quite late and since it is going to be a long day tomorrow, I should probably head up to bed now. I will close with sharing a picture of Miss Addie that I took yesterday. She can be just so darn cute and I have to get as many pictures as possible while she still doesn't mind the camera in her face. I am sure the time will come all too fast when she avoids me like Micah. I must spring while the oppurtunity is there- and you all will just have to suffer through it ;)
