that kinda sounds funny doesn't it? LOL. I smell fresh b/c we all just came in from playing outside- in almost 60 degree weather! :) It may be kinda grey looking- but being able to go outside with just a light jacket did wonders for my morale today. Addie absolutely LOVES swining in the baby swings and even bouncing up and down on the Teeter-Totter with me. Micah still enjoys the slides and running around the perimeter of the park. Ahhh- spring may be just around the corner after all! I simply can not wait!
This week has been ho-hum. After you have the buildup of preparing for a birthday party and other events, everything else is so blaise for awhile. We are all down with the sniffles again- thankfully that seems to be all it is this time. I do hope this is the case- it seems as if there is just a large grey cloud of sickness lingering over our home this year- if it isn't one person it has been another since October. It has to end sometime- right?
I talked with my Mom last nite and received more details about my Uncle Ron. He seems to be doing really well- the breathing tube was out when they were there and he was talking and joking like usual. The pain hasn't really set in yet- but today they were planning to remove a lot of the remaining tubes and possibly getting him up and moving around. Now the fun recovery process begins. He has to lay low on activity for the next 6-8 weeks- and if you know him- that is going to be hard. I am just thankful things went well and I will continue praying his recovery goes smoothly.
Micah is officially enrolled in preschool for the fall. It seems so strange to think he is old enough to be attending school- but he is just so darn excited! He will be going Monday and Wednesday mornings at a school not too far from our home. It seems to be a WONDERFUL program- it is held at a church- he will be in a mixed 3 and 4 year old class. Most activities run in 15 min. increments- they have carpet time where they talk about what day it is, the weather, etc..., story and song time, large motor skill time, arts and crafts, chapel for 15 mins, free play time, and a few other things I can't think of right now. I am very happy with our decision and although sad he has grown so fast, I am so excited for this oppurtunity.
In other Micah news, he has quite the vocabulary recently- not always the best- but funny none-the-less. The other nite as we were getting ready for bed- Tim said something to Micah and he replied, "You don't talk to Micah now- you be quiet" and "Leave me alone Daddy". Ekkk! Then yesterday before nap time, I told him to lay down. He said, "I already am laying down Mommy. You tell me to go to sleep". Oh dear!! LOL. The things that come out of his mouth! Besides those, another favorite..."I just don't love that" for anything he doesn't like- whether it be food, clothes, toys, tv show, or whatever. If it isn't something he "wanted" he just doesn't "love it".
This weekend is going to be pretty laid back around here- ahhh- about time! I am hoping for nice weather so that we can be outside a bit and let Micah practice riding his bike. I am so tired of being cramped up in the house- being outside- even if only for a short while every day really helps move along long grey afternoons.
In closing, I will share a LO I finally scrapped yesterday. I have been so lax recently and thing after thing just kept happening and bringing us down- just haven't been into creating I guess. i am really happy with how this turned out- so maybe it was good for me to take a break for a few weeks. I am back now though and besides this LO, I will upload the rest of Micah's birthday pictures in a folder so you can view if you wish. I will let you know when I complete those :)
