Goodbyes

The last two days were days of "goodbye". Goodbye to our friends, Bryan and Robin, who are leaving Monday to spend two years in Costa Rica serving in the mission field. It seemed so far away up until now- and with it being the last few days of them being here, reality has set in. :(
Last nite a group of us went out to "La Pizzeria" for a nice dinner together. (great food but I must say, the most amazing part was the little toilet seat covers that dispense themselves and then the soap that squirts out based on motion activation...all they needed was an automatic door so that you didn't have to touch that ;) ). The kids had a great time with Sammie- so much so that Micah didn't want her to leave when we came home.

Today I had a photo shoot of the extended family and then each individual family as well. Following the shoot, I went home, got the family and headed back out for a "going away" party at Krystal's house. It is always great to get together with everyone- and today was no different. It seems so strange that it is the last time will we see Bryan and Robin- it was hard to say goodbye knowing it was our last for awhile. :( We wish them the best though and know that God will work through them in amazing ways. I am already excited to hear about all of their activities and see pictures- it definitely will make the time go faster.

Besides goodbyes, our life has been busy elsewhere as well. Ms. Addie had a Dr. Appt. Friday for her 15 month checkup. She had to get 4 shots (OUCH!) and hated every last one of them. She is up to a whopping 21 lbs now and is 31 1/4 inches long. She is nice and petite- the way I used to be- HA! She seems to be quite healthy and right on track developmentally- which is always great to hear. We go back in three months for 2-3 more shots and then we are done until Kindergarten. Woo Hoo!

Tomorrow Tim is leading the service at his Dad's church while his Dad is out of town. It will be a nice change of pace- always nice to go down to Carrollton- it really is a beautiful area. I can't wait to go down once the leaves start changing- it is really gorgeous then.
Tim of course has youth tomorrow and I will probably just be finishing proofing the pictures from today.

To leave off with a note of humor...here are some Micahisms from the past few days.
When turning on the tv in the morning, Micah takes the controller and says, "No Mommy. We need it on 33, ESPN for Daddy to watch sports" Ummm...ok? LOL Tim has an ally in him.
*When Tim forgot to do something in Micah's room before bed and Micah had to call him back upstairs he responded with, "Come on Daddy" As if to say "Duh- how could you forget"
Isn't it fun when your kids start using your phrases? HA!
