Today was Micah's third day of preschool and I am happy to report we had no tears. There was a bit of apprehension, one last hug and death grip on my leg, but after reassuring him, he went into the room and began to play without a tear. He was too cute when I picked him up- he came running and said, "Mommy I didn't cry" I told him how proud I was that he was such a big boy. He then asked, "Are you sure Mommy" I told him I was sure and gave him a big ole hug and kiss. He actually told us all about class today and even sang us the "Teddy Bear" song (what we used as a jumprope song when I was little...teddy bear teddy bear turn around...). It is so fun to see him learning all of these new things and bringing them home with excitement.
While Micah was at preschool, Tim, Addie and I headed to the Y. Tim and I worked out for about a half hour on the treadmill and doing situps and then went to swim a few laps in the pool. Ms. Addie did great in the childcare room- no tears what-so-ever.
Following the Y, we went and got Micah, headed home for lunch and then out to Belden to run some errands. Micah kept telling us how he wanted Wendys for lunch- but since we already had lunch that just wasn't happening. Fast forward...
Tim had a meeting to discuss technology at church and during that time, the most of Louisville went dark (of course it didn't include the church or the street behind us, but most assuredly the majority of the city was black). I finally called Tim to have him come home (two young kids, light only being cast by candlelight, scared of the dark, hungry, etc... get the picture?) so that we could assess the situation and get some food. So....Micah got his Wendys. Everything is L-ville was shut down due to the power outage so we headed to N. Canton for some grub. Of course, half way out of town- we see the power come back on- this as we are driving through a torrential downpour. Such is life- but darn it, Micah got his Wendys. LOL
Tomorrow is my quiet day- well, at least my "mostly at home" day. I plan on catching up a bit on cleaning and organizing things but other than that- an open schedule :) I think a bit of sleeping in is due- I have definitely earned it.

it is funny reading that your plan was to sleep in - seeing that Micah woke you up early today.
sorry your plan didn't work out as planned. :(
