It is funny how time gets away from you at times... I always say how I enjoy updates on people's blogs and dread the down time and here I am almost 3 weeks since my last post. I don't even have a good excuse... time just moved faster than my fingers I guess.
So what have we been doing with our time? I honestly don't really know, but here are a few things...
The weekend after Easter we headed up to my parent's house for a surprise "party" for my mom's 50th birthday. My brother and I picked out a restaurant to take her and my Dad to and then we made a cake and stuff and just spent some time together. On that Saturday we went to Chuck-E-Cheese to celebrate my nephew's 3rd birthday with the family. It was a nice weekend getaway... the kids had a blast.
Last week every evening until Thursday was taken up by revival services at our church. We ate dinner there and then stayed for services... the kids had a blast with their program and were quite upset not to be going once it had ended.
Thursday Tim and I headed up to Cleveland for an "Explosions in the Sky" concert... it was um... interesting ;) We were in ghetto Cleveland and I am definitely not into the whole concert scene like that but I will say most of the music wasn't as bad as I envisioned... most of all, I know Tim enjoyed it and that is all that mattered. Now if they would have given me a chair to sit in the back, I would have been a lot happier ;) (man... I sound old don't I?)
Over the weekend we had out rescheduled Winter Jam (spring jam) and I stayed at the church with 180ish other youth leaders/ students. I did not sleep well at all the first nite- I am WAY too old or something for that... it was seriously horrible. The second nite I got smarter and laid on cushions and those hours were MUCH more tolerable. All in all it was a fun weekend :)
I had a senior photo shoot on Sunday (seriously could not have asked for a better day!) and then a meeting at church that nite. Not long after I got home, we had to rush Addie to stat care for breathing problems... It never ends with her and we still don't have answers. I don't know what to do anymore...
This week has been pretty quiet. We have had absolutely gorgeous weather and have spent as much time as possible outside. Addie took her first face plant on the concrete and scrapped her knees when she tripped running to Tim and I. Thankfully it wasn't too bad, she ended up with a nice goose egg on her head though.
The kids LOVE playing soccer and t-ball and riding bikes. I loathe the fact that it is supposed to be a rain/ snow mix in a few days. I think that once you hit the 70 degree mark, you shouldn't have to deal with coldness again until fall.
Micah and Addie finished up this session of dance, swim and t-ball at the Y. Everything starts up again next week... and I think that will be the last we will sign up until fall again. Life gets too crazy in the summer.
So... that is our life in a nutshell. The kids have been crazy fun as usual. They both think they can take care of the other. For example, last nite Micah got in trouble for mouthing Tim and I and Addie ran upstairs, got the soap and wanted to put it in Micah's mouth for him. She was jumping up and down and giggling- she really thought she was the stuff. Other than that, they have been playing really well together. Micah got homesick while staying at Tim's mom's house this weekend and he called crying on Saturday nite. Addie got on the phone (she was with him) and told us that she would take care of her "brover" It was quit endearing.
Tomorrow we register Micah for kindergarten- it seems so surreal. Addie has already been registered for preshool... our life is surely changing. It really does seem like it was yesterday that I first found out I was pregnant with Micah... and now look we we are...
I promise it won't take as long for the next update. I am sure this is boring as all get out, but this is my life ;)
