Micah is now officially a registered kindergarten student. I can't believe this day has come... and how quickly the days have passed that brought us here. It seems so hard to believe that the little boy who first made me a mother will be heading off to school all on his own in only a matter of months. I know... it happens but it still seems surreal. I can only imagine how the tears will flow come the end of August... once a sap always a sap ;)
On that same vein... being that both kids will be in school next year brings up desires of having another little one here at the house. The kids are continually asking Tim and I when we are having a "little sister" for them- lol. They think that we can wake up one day, go get a baby and move on with our lives. The other day they were actually arguing over whether the baby would be Peyton or Sydney... neither would budge for the other's views. (oh... it has to be a girl according to them) Whenever that time comes it could be interesting ;) They will both be wonderful big siblings and I can't wait to hopefully share that with them sometime in the near future. Until then, I am definitely enjoying not having diapers and such laying around and the fact that both of them are semi-independent. It will surely be a change but a welcome one for all of us.
In other news and notes...
Today I watched Walker and Ellie while Kurt and Carla were at work. My kids LOVED having them over and honestly, sometimes it seems that four is easier than two- they both had a playmate that kept them entertained. Take away meal time and a diaper change or two, they really didn't need me ;) Ok, so maybe they need me a little bit... at least for some laughs and to turn on the Wii (oh wait- Micah does that all himself these days) or to explain that one person's prayer isn't wrong even if it is different than your own- LOL. With that aside, we had a full fun packed day. Ellie couldn't wait for Addie to wake up and play princesses (and um... even the boys were excited to join... until they learned that we didn't have enough dresses- unless one was going to be Tinkerbell (which I didn't act upon Kurt)) and between that and Little ponies and princess dancing, etc... the girls had a blast being each other's "Best friend" Micah and Walker played cars and basketball (well they trihttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifed to anyways- Micah needs to learn the rules to play with Walker) V-Smile, and of course the Wii. They play great together on anything technical... two brains at work- it is almost scary in fact!! We all enjoyed an hour outside at the park and they were all exhasuted and were asleep by 2pm. It was so nice and quiet here!! LOL. Mine continued to sleep until almost 4:30... I felt bad that the other two had to be aroused early. Both kids were crushed to realize their friends were gone when they awoke but thankfully they were consoled with the thought of playing together in the near future.
So...
LOL...
That pretty much sums up the past few days. I am going to get pictures off the memory card from today to add in here and then call it a nite. Two posts in one week took up any spare amount of energy I had left.
(oh and the pictures at the end of Tim and I were from tonite- we were showing off our soccer skills to the kids- they weren't that impressed- lol)
