Addie finally went in for her three year appt. this past week and overall had a really good appointment. Addie had a great time chatting with Dr. Parrish and made sure to show her that she knew her colors and could count and so on... Ad can be quite the chatter box when she wants to be. The Dr. is slightly concerned about A's growth... nothing alarming but she wants to see her in 6 weeks to determine if she is gaining properly or whether or not she will want her to have some testing done. This is all being brought about b/c Addie barely tips the scale at 28 lbs, which isn't bad in itself (about the 18th percentile), but I guess that when you are high in the growth chart (as she was for her first year) and then slip to near the bottom, they want to keep a closer eye to ensure there isn't something wrong. I am not all that concerned (which is HUGE for me) I just think that she is going to be small (I was as a child... not that you can tell that now). She doesn't eat a lot quantity wise but quality wise has no issues. Ad would rather eat a plate of salad and tomatoes than a plate of mac and cheese- which is refreshing after having Micah who would only eat about 6 foods for a number of years. So... hopefully I can fatten her up in the next few weeks ;) though I don't forsee that since she gained just around a pound since last year, but I can at least show what she has been eating and such... I am choosing not to give it much thought and just pray that things are already taken care of.
In other news... we made it through another year of Bible school and things went smoothly for the most part. Next year I will be in charge... that shall be fun ;) HA! I hope that I can get great workers to step up b/c they truly make VBS what it is. The kids had a blast and although I was exhausted each day, I too had a great time.
I went out shopping yesterday and finally spent some of my money from my birthday. I found a bathing suit (NOT a fun chore), two shirts, a purse and a few other things. That is the most I have came home with in a long time... I am usually quite picky so Tim was throughly impressed at all I found :) I also picked myself up a new laptop bag as the one I have wasn't suiting my needs so... It felt great to get out and shop for myself for once (ok ok, Addie did get a few things as well... how can I pass up the cute clothes that just seem to jump in front of me for her?) HA!
The youth mission trip is almost upon us again... and then summer will finally be able to be semi-relaxing for us. I am looking forward to another week away with the youth but it will be SO great to be able to say that I have more than a few days in my own bed ;) Of course I also start work right after that and then we are watching my niece for a little over a week... but we will be HOME! :) I am crazy... I surely am crazy...
