So the phone just rang and it was the principal from Micah's school. It was a recorded message letting us know the school's upcoming events... nothing out of the ordinary. As soon as I hung up, Micah asked who had called. I told him it was the principal and he immediately burst into tears. I asked him why he was crying and he sobbingly said, I can't believe somebody told on me. Baffled, I just sorta sat and listened to him sob and spill out why he had a yellow day (talking too loudly when he wasn't supposed to be). He panicked and never even let me get a word in edge wise about why he had actually called. After about five minutes, I was finally able to let him in on the real reason for the phone call, to which he stormed off and told me he was mad at me and that I was mean for leading him on.
Moral of the story- don't assume things are worse than they actually are...

So his school does colors too! My sons goes: green (good) yellow, blue and red (very, very bad). He's had a few yellow days, but mostly green. (At least according to him.) Maybe I should fake a principal's call to get the real scoop!
