(literally and figuratively)
Yes, it has been over a month since I last blogged (if you even want to call that post an "entry". Life has taken a crazy accelerated rate and I have barely held on. Sometimes I wonder why I blog... I love sharing my thoughts and such but really... how many people want to read about my family? I thought about stopping but then remembered why I first started... to keep track of things the kids were doing... way back when Micah was in utero. Yes... over 7 years ago. I don't have record of that first blog and I do miss having that to reference back to as I watch Si grow. So, after being reminded and brought back to my first "love" of blogging, I vow to try better and use this as what I first intended.
With that said...
The kids are SO excited to start school this fall. Ad is entering Kindergarten and Micah will be in second. We just met both of their teachers tonite and they both seem wonderful. Addie's is simply adorable and Micah's seems excited to have her own class (she was a tutor/ special ed teacher in prior years) Now I have a stack of paperwork inches thick to fill out and return next week. UGH! Micah begins Monday and Ad the next Monday (they have orientation and screening the first week) Micah goes for his "gifted" testing tomorrow and he is very nervous/ excited about the possibilities it opens for him. I hope he does well but am SO proud of him even making it this far.
Both kids are in soccer this year... Tim is coaching Micah and I coach Ad. Eeek! They are both doing well... although they don't seem to have an aggressive bone in their body! I am excited for the year though VERY nervous about the first game this coming Saturday. I just hope my kids have fun... that is all you can ask for 4/5 yr olds... that and a good snack at the end!
And now for the update I know you care most about ;) Si is almost 16 months old and running around like a crazy man. He has a mouthful of teeth (I have lost track- I know there are enough to make nice welts/ bruises when he bites...) and knows how to use them. He is a VERY picky eater and many days I feel lucky if he eats one meal of "healthy" food. I can only hope it gets better. Good grief! He LOVES Micah and Ad and is going to be SO lost when they head off to school. He and I will be little buddies though and honestly, I am looking forward to spoiling my baby :)
Tim and I are busy like usual. Fall planning mode is in full swing with the church and the photo business and crazy busy as usual in the fall. We have both taken a hiatus with running but hope to get back in it once fall hits. It was simply too hot and we were too busy to keep up this summer. I hope it is a bit easier than my first two miles back was earlier this week. One more run like that and I am liable to throw in the towel all together. Eek!
Soo... that is us in a nutshell. The next update will include lots of new photos :) The camera has been busy this summer and since I am horrible at getting them printed, the next best this is posting them here. Watch out... this is your warning!
