A fresh Start

The crisp breeze is blowing which means my favorite season is just around the corner. I LOVE the change of weather (yes... even when it is the first snow) because with it brings a new freshness and excitement of all that lies ahead. I am ready to pull out all of my "comfort" clothes, fall tarts and decorations and dust off the recipes for apple pie and the like.
With the change of seasons, I thought my blog could use an overhaul as well. I know I posted about a month ago that I was ready for come back full force but well... you see how that went ;) Maybe with a fresh new look, I will be inspired to come and jot down what is going on in my life. Then again... maybe not, but I know this new look will at least give me a push in the right direction.

After that long intro, I am not sure anyone cares to read about what all has been taking up my time but in a nutshell...

*Soccer practice started. Game season began... both kids teams are "undefeated" at this time (each also have one tie) Tim and I are having a great time coaching... who knew? I am as surprised as anyone!

*Micah started second grade. He is bored but such is our life. He has a lot of friends in class this year... which is good and bad. He is having fun and doing well... that is all that matters :)

*Addison started kindergarten. Yes, crazy?!? isn't it?!?! I can't believe my little girl is already off on this long adventure but she is and she LOVES it. Her teacher is wonderful and she seems to be doing well. She read her first book to us last nite- and was pretty proud of her accomplishment.

*Silas is 16 months now and crazy as can be. That child LOVES to climb, run, scream, hit... argh! He is twice as much work as either of the other two but has the absolute best personality out of all three. He is quite the charmer... which seems to work for him when he is in trouble. He weighs 26.5 lbs and was 30.25 inches long- dropping in the percentiles just like the others. He LOVES french fries, cheese, chicken nuggets, chips... pretty much all junk food. Thankfully I can usually sneak in a few veggies under some mashed potatoes and every once in awhile he will eat a banana or apple. I can only hope it will get better. He says probably 10-12 words (cheese and "oh no" being some new ones) and gets his point across by taking your hand and pulling you to what he wants and then pointing and bouncing until you get it for him. He is my little buddy now that Ad is gone and I look forward to having these few years home with him on his own.

*Tim and I are busy as usual... and trying to find time to run and get back into a workout routine. Summer seems to just be crazy for us... so everything we thought we had mastered is gone. Someday it won't be so busy... at least I can hope!
