Happy (belated) Constitution Week

Our town just happens to be nicknamed the "Constitution Town" (due to the fact that a former resident petitioned Congress to have a national "Constitution Day" established... or something like that... go to wikipedia if you want to know more) which means we have a week long of celebration. From style shows to mayor's breakfasts, speakers, pageants, parade, festival and more (not sure how that all honors the Constitution but that is another story) there is a LOT of activities to partake in. One of the kid's favorite days is the parade day (and you know you live in a small town when the number of tractors outnumbers the number of actual floats...) and this year proved to be as fun as year's past. Si was peacefully sleeping in his bed when it was time to leave but somehow we were able to transfer him into the stroller and keep him asleep through a little over half of the parade (through military gun shots, go cart racers that almost ran us over, marching bands...) He actually woke up when there happened to be a break in the parade and the noise was at a minimum- LOL. He had a great time watching after he finally figured out what was going on... and from the looks on his face, next year he will be begging to go just as loudly as Micah and Addie.

Wondering what is going on and why he isn't in his warm bed at home

Showing us his candy- he was so excited to get to eat something that they were handing out.
