"Oh No"

Silas has become quite the little chatter box in the last few weeks but I must say, hearing him say "oh no" has got the be the cutest thing ever. Imagine this... he is climbing up the stairs... again. I go towards him to get him down and he gets these real big eyes and says, "oh no" and shakes his head no. Or... he is sneaking in behind the recliner in the living room and once again, stops, gets big eyes and says "oh no" Ornery but adorable!

Si has gotten very good at communicating... he LOVES LOVES LOVES Dora. I mean like an almost unhealthy obsession. He wakes up, we go downstairs, he stands at the tv and says "Mora" He cries when the episode ends. He walks by a tv and thinks Dora will appear... yeah... a bit obsessed. He dances to the music. He always answers her "no" when she asks a question... at least he is paying attention and knows a question from a statement.

Along with Dora, Si's other obsession is chocolate chip cookies. He knows what cupboard they are in, what the package looks like and will not be fooled by pulling out a hidden alternative. This afternoon went a bit like this... Dora ended. Tears. Treat offered. Si runs to the kitchen, points to the cupboard. (I knew what he wanted but wanted to have some fun...) I pull out cheetos, he says no. I pull out animal crackers... again, no plus a headshake. Tried crackers and same response. I finally get out the good ole "Chips ahoy" and he starts dancing. I ask him if this is what he wants and he lets me know with a squeal and head shake "yes" I hand him the cookie to which he responds... "tank u" (He may not have great eating habits but at least he has manners... right?!?)
