Great Movie

I watch a virtually unknown but wonderful movie today called, "The End of the Spear". This movie retells the story of five missionary familes living in Ecuador which made national news after the men were brutally murdered by the Auca Indians. Religious or not, many of you may have heard of Jim and Elisabeth Elliot who were part of this team.
The story is told through the narration of Steve Saint, a young son of one of the murdered missionaries. The way he walks you through the events and hearing of the absolute devotion of these men and then women, just pulled at my heart. I simply can not imagine being a woman, learning of your husband's horrible death by these "beasts" and then having the courage and faith to go out and learn to live among them and ultimately be able to share Christ with them. Simply amazing.
I highly recommend this film for anyone interested in missions or even just to see and understand what people have and do go through to be able to share the Gospel. It is amazing to see how the women connect and relate God to them in words that they can understand.

I think I will just close with those thoughts tonite- the movie is still weighing heavily on my mind. I believe my parents are coming down for a few days tomorrow, so not sure how many updates will be shared- but I am sure I will be snapping lots of pictures :)
