Ever since our first attempt at, "Green Eggs and Ham" all Micah has wanted to do is read read read. It is amazing watching him put things together and understand what is on each page. We have read a few "Biscuit" books and on suggestion of an online friend, we picked up 3 sets of the "Bob" books from the library. While these are short, very simple, and sorta boring, it is helping him learn all the sounds and how to put things together. We have read books 1-6 in the first set and are reviewing book six a bit more to make sure he understands the short "i" sound before moving onto book 7. So far, he has been able to just pick up a book and read it front to back- which makes him SOOO proud. I thought I would try to tape him reading so those of you that don't come visit (ahem... Mom and Dad) often might be able to hear him in the first stages of reading. He wants to tape every book now- so you might be seeing more of us. Until next time...
